Today we’d like to introduce you to Don and Nephtalie Turenne.
Don and Nephtalie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In the year of 2013, I was working at a local restaurant in the area, August 2013 someone I took care of that evening asked me, have I ever thought about doing something else and something bigger with my life and I was asked am I keeping my business options open? and I immediately replied, yes I need to find ways to increase cash flow. So I went to the office to see what the opportunity was about. The minute I walked in the office, I remember thinking wow! This is amazing, this is different, this is not your typical job. EVERYONE is happy they’re so positive. I fell in love with the environment. So I got started in August 13th, 2013 a year into the business the restaurant gave us a 48-hour notice that they will be shutting down their doors and that was August 2014. I had a little one at home and a wife imagine you have a job and you’re trying to build a business P/T. Most times when things like this happen there’s always a blessing if you look for it, so I remember thinking to myself what am I going to do and I had Faith over Fear so I went 100% into the entrepreneurship route and I never look back building a business is never easy but I’m so glad I never quit, I never quit on myself and my family four years into the business I was able to retire my wife from her corporate job and it’s amazing that we get to build the business together it is our Legacy business and we are building it for the next generations to come. Timing is everything I’m glad I accepted the opportunity when it was presented to me at that time.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not been a smooth! Throughout our career here in the financial industry, there’s been many challenges, but our WHY have always kept us going. Short-term sacrifices for permanent gains. The late nights, early mornings, the NO’s, those you love and care about the most, but won’t support you, the naysayers everything you can think of, but our WHY kept us going. So many times we let others control and kill our dreams, no matter what you do you will face challenges, but you must keep going, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and when you get there you literally don’t remember the setbacks you had every setback is preparing you for a major comeback, but you must be ready for it and understand you will go through some things to get to your destination.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about World Financial Group – what should we know?
As Licensed Executive Financial Brokers, we educate families and business owners. We are full service, we specialize in retirement, proper protection, Building Wealth, preserve your wealth, emergency fund, etc. We really focus on educating on the three rules of money; Rule of 72, how many grows, and how many is taxed. No one is really educating families, especially Middle Class Americans on the basic Financial Concepts. We are literally changing the financial services industry approach we definitely have an educational approach. Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
In order to succeed at anything in life, Integrity is really important. We have to be very disciplined, respect one another and of course know where you are headed have a goal and focused on that goal no matter what you’re going through. Mental Toughness for us to have at all times.
