So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Me and my husband are originally from Europe, but we’ve graduated our master’s degree here in Miami, USA. And during our MBA in Finance, we’ve been thinking a lot…what kind of business we can establish here? Can we do it by ourselves? Oh, there were so many questions with no answers. And we’ve started to write in down all ideas on a list, coming from our life experience in Europe. And one of them was to establish an air-scenting company to contribute to all businesses branding strategy. This kind of service was very popular in Europe and most of the businesses have been using it. So we’ve started to make a research and work on all ideas we had on the list to choose the best one. Back in 2014, there was almost no competition in this field in the US. We loved the idea to be from the first in any business niche and I believe that this was one of the reasons to start this company. Moreover, we love scents and perfumes. We have more than 100 different perfumes at home and we are very picky about scents. So this was even more attractive for us. Old people say that “The happiest person is who love its work”.
Has it been a smooth road?
Well, our road was not smooth at all. As I said, we are coming from completely different culture. European taste is so much different than American and at the beginning that was the hardest part for us. We’ve started to make a lot of researches, as what kind of scents people like; how much businesses are willing to pay for; will they use it for their homes as well; will they buy from foreigners or will prefer a local company. Also, we did everything by ourselves, without any help from local people and without even one employee. We didn’t have a budget for it. There was so much stress to develop something on 10,000 km from home without our family, friends and business contacts to help at the beginning. But we were so stick together and never gave up even for a moment. Honestly, we’ve been obsessed to follow the American dream and I think we did it 🙂 Now we have our own brand, which became very recognizable for the last several years. All of our customers are truly happy to have our products and services in their homes or businesses. All of our employees love to work with us and love their job. We are very proud of what we’ve done in this great country.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Well definitely, yes. Miami is one of a kind place in the world. We’ve been traveling a lot thru the US and believe me, there is no such a place which combines business opportunities, social life, good climate and good education for your children. Miami is completely different than rest of the cosmopolitan cities in the US. At the beginning, we were stressed how people will perceive the idea to pay for an aroma service. But when we started, we’ve been impressed how open-minded are all local people, ready to try different and innovative things to improve their businesses.
