Thanks for sharing your story with us Joseph. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hustle By Nature started when I was in college. I interned a lot when I was in high school with printing companies. I hand my hand in a few ideas prior to Hustle By Nature but this one is all mine. The idea basically came about because everyone has some sort of hustle to get by in life. I look at my family everyone hustled to take care of me, my siblings and the entire family.
I grew up in Camden NJ which is filled with any type of hustler you can imagine from the neighborhood drug dealer to people selling platters and the everyday working class. Everyone had or has a story, so I decided to tell my mind through apparel and networking with the people trying to do the same thing I’m trying to do. I want to build my city and the people in it up. That’s why part of my hustle slogan is reach the world touch the hood first. I’m always going to touch my hood first. They have supported me and followed me. I want to be able to eventually have apprenticeship for kids who want to be entrepreneurs. I want to teach them to follow their dreams and make them a reality. I followed my dream which leads me to leave college. School has never really been my thing but I gave it a shot for two years. Honestly, I can talk about my brand all day and what and who has inspired me but that would mean you would be here all day too. Just know that Hustle By Nature isn’t just an ordinary brand it is a culture, a city that has been long forgotten and we have a story to tell and I am that storyteller with many more chapters to come.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing ever comes easy but I can’t say the struggle has been so hard that I would give up. It’s been times where I didn’t drop clothes because I was broke. It’s been time when I have paid to have merchandise made or printed up and was robbed but that made me go harder and stronger. I was selling out the trunk of my car, then to the internet, next move was to the mall and now I have a store. So may struggles have been laid as the foundation of what’s to come.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Hustle By Nature (HBN) – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
So right now, I am known as the hoodies and t-shirt guy. I recently started making hats and coats and they flew off the shelves like my other items. I have socks and girl’s lines coming soon. I tried making kids clothes at the request of people but that was profit loss. What I can say I am most proud of is my supporters my support is crazy, I can go months with dropping anything but when its gone is 60 seconds. I would say what sets me apart from others is that again its not just a hustle or a brand its a passion. I put my all into getting the best material and coming up with original graphics. Again I’m telling a story with my clothing. I want grandparent, cousin, nieces, uncles and everyone wearing my clothes and can relate to the story it tells. Lastly, I do this for my family and my hood not just for me. When I rise, we all rise and that’s what sets me apart from the rest.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to expand to other cities and countries. I also what to get my Hustle and Social network up and running fully. The very next thing is to have my grand opening on the anniversary of the beginning of HBN. I promise you though that 2021 is going to be big for Hustle by Nature. We are going to be on celebrities and people are going to be talking us because we may have some celebrities of our own very soon.
