Meet Shay Segev of Adore Organic Innovation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shay Segev.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2001, I opened my first skincare line and sold it mostly to kiosk/carts located in various shopping centers worldwide. Within 14 years, I have amassed a huge audience, and decided to launch another brand, but while being more conscious of the ingredients, technology and packaging I used. From there, Adore Cosmetics – Organic Innovation was formed. I used this brand to make it more exclusive and high end instead of having it available for mass market and any retailer, I made it a luxurious and boutique only concept which reflects upon its’ high price-point. We have been immensely successful in the past few years to increase brand awareness and create a celebrity following for Adore that we are very proud of.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Launching a new company is always challenging, but by having experience in the skincare industry for over 16 years now, it gives you the opportunity to learn the market and the needs of the consumer, therefore enabling us to manufacture and cater to that demand resulting in a successful brand.

Adore Organic Innovation – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Adore Cosmetics started in 2001 and is the leading purveyor of organic skin care and beauty products. Many of our products are organically based and take advantage of leading-edge beauty technology involving plant stem cells, including our Cellmax Kit and Golden Touch Magnetic Facial Mask. So the natural approach and the way that people experienced on-the-spot results at our retail stores seem to have made a difference. I think what sets us apart and what people responded to was our organic innovation approach.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Reaching our milestone of 50 boutique stores worldwide and having huge influencers/bloggers/celebrities know and use our products. With the journey that we are currently on now, we aim to be a household name, to be available in Mass Retailers worldwide and to introduce our sub-lines: Icon Edition & Symphony Series which will still keep the integrity and technology of the Adore brand but will be available at a much more affordable price point. These new sub-lines start anywhere from $10 – $300 in contrast with our Adore Cosmetics line which product range goes up to $3,300 for an exclusive 24K Gold Technodermis Treatment Mask Set.
