Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose-Antonio Valencia.
Ecuadorian-born Jose-Antonio Valencia graduated cum laude from a prestigious private university in his home country with a major in Advertising and Marketing. After ten years as a Senior Marketing Executive at Fortune 100 companies, he stepped out of the corporate world into entrepreneurial endeavors and created a successful company but non of these achievements brought him true joy and purpose.
Corporate and entrepreneurial success led him to venture into the Media & Entertainment business, a world he was exposed to from an early age, as his father is the former Vice-president of an important TV network in South America and the founder of two international award-winning Advertising Agencies. Jose-Antonio consulted and co-produced TV shows for major networks, he was the President of an international print magazine with over 25 years in circulation, and helped a number of his multi-Grammy award-winning friends to launch the educational project IDA Program – Inspire & Develop Artists.
His well-rounded perspective and international experience led him to observe that a great number of people around him, whether it be on professional or personal levels, share certain similarities which prevent them from living exciting, successful, loving, and meaningful lives. Jose-Antonio discovered his true calling and embarked with passion on the greatest adventure of his life by becoming certified as a Life Coach at one of the most reputable and accredited Coaching Institutions in Spain and the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Challenges have been there since day one and will continue to be there until the end. I truly believe that the number one reason why people struggle is because they think they are not supposed to struggle. Anything that involves positive growth elicits resistance. The bigger the vision, the bigger the opposition. If you are not facing challenges or resistance then that probably means that you are either settling for second best, playing too safe or heading in the wrong direction. Embrace the challenges because they will make you stronger and take you farther than you ever thought. With God by your side, everything is possible.

As a Life Coach, I’ve been blessed enough to work with all kinds of clients; from international stars and CEO’s to college students. In our sessions we address the most important aspects of their lives just like: success, purpose, relationships, healing and balance. It is just as rewarding to guide single people and couples in their love life as it is to help celebrities realize that true success and happiness do not really come from fame, money and power but from a more meaningful and spiritual vision that goes beyond ego and pleasure. I help my clients identify their own light, their innate talents, work on their passions, find true love, discover their calling and accomplish their true purpose. My main goal is for them to achieve genuine success, appropriate balance, create great relationships and make history by leaving a legacy that will make our world a better place for generations to come. It’s all about well being, improving the quality of life, connecting with God and adding value to other people’s lives after all.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The main reason of my success has definitely been Spirituality. My life changed completely after I decided to become a Christian, pursue a real relationship with God and a life of serving. I was able to achieve a good amount of success, fortune, power and influence at an early age but that only led me to a prideful, sinful, selfish and toxic lifestyle. Nowadays, my priorities are totally different, I dedicate about 15-20 hours a week to serve God and the community through my home church, VOUS Church. I lead two different teams there, a small Bible group and teach a class every week.
