Sonia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I traveled from Colombia to the United states and started working in an automotive company for replacement car parts, the people I worked with encouraged me to familiarize myself with car parts as it would always be an essential part of the working world. After about four years the company I worked for closed down and I took the initiative in opening my own family company, AC Cars alongside my son Ricardo Ramirez. It is an online store in which you can purchase most steering and suspension parts for a variety of vehicles. Within the years, our sons all worked part time while studying their careers.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As a woman in the car industry world it is always typical to be the underdog but that didn’t stop her, up until about 2008 there was a crisis in the economy and there was a lot of struggle in those times. Mr. German Hernandez (a long-time friend of Sonia) had witnessed a lot of the struggle and offered his partnership to get the business to strive.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ac cars – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a retail company selling high quality aftermarket auto parts online.
We are known for our superb customer service and our high quality parts.
I am proud of the staff / team we have, we always work together in making sure orders are packed properly and things run smoothly. Our main priority is our customers and making sure they get the best parts for the best price.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We would love to expand our services along the U.S.
Even though we are an online company being able to ship out of different locations will save a lot of transit times for a lot of customers worldwide.
