Meet John F. White II of The Immanuel Temple in Pembroke Pines

Today we’d like to introduce you to John F. White II.

The Reverend John F. White II and the Reverend Maria Mallory White are servant-leaders of Immanuel Temple, which the husband and wife pastoral team launched Easter Sunday morning (April 8) 2013.

The Immanuel Temple, a family of followers of Christ, the Risen Son of God, worships, witnesses and works to establish and promote the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in heaven. Affectionately known as “The I.T.,” this ministry takes a holistic, Kingdom of God-centered approach to serving the present age, empowered by God’s grace, and transforming and touching the lives of not only its members but also people in the community, across the nation and around the world.

As a foundational principle, Immanuel Temple has committed to “tithing” back into the community 10 percent of its income from tithes and offerings. The I.T. is not only in the community but gives back to the community. Through its LOL Love Out Loud work for nearly a decade now, The I.T. has blessed lives from Hollywood to Haiti, from Bunche Park to Belize and from Texas to Toronto. With celebration worship services at 7:30 and 10 a.m. each Sunday morning, to Bible Study, women’s and married couples’ retreats, to children’s church, The Immanuel Temple is a Kingdom Movement sharing the love of Jesus Christ person to person and virtually through online ministry.

Has it been a smooth road?
As a church plant, The Immanuel Temple has worshiped in three locations so far, as we have grown and faced the challenge of finding a home most conducive to the work of ministry we are called to.

We’d love to hear more about your organization.
We are known perhaps most for dynamic preaching and celebratory worship, as well as our LOL Love Out Loud commitment. We feed the hungry, providing food for children on free or reduced lunch, whose families otherwise wouldn’t have sufficient food over the weekend. We’ve provided hundreds of laptops for Broward County’s homeless graduating seniors. We support orphanages in Haiti and women recently released from prison in Belize. Our passionate worship and service are just two ways we share the love and witness of Jesus Christ.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
First and foremost, all glory belongs to God for how God has used The Immanuel Temple as an instrument of blessing. Every single member of this Kingdom Movement, known as The Immanuel Temple has played an intricate role in living out God’s mandate for ministry. And we also have a wide network of Kingdom Partners who have joined in the work and support of the ministry we have extended here at home and abroad.
