Today we’d like to introduce you to C. Spencer Reddick IV.
C, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was first introduced to real estate by my mom and finance by my dad. Both of those provided a foundation for me in my business and personal life to this day. Growing up my mother was a Realtor and later became a Broker-Associate and manager of the brokerage I am with now OmniOne Realty Group, and my father was a financial advisor. So I grew up having conversations about stocks/investments and attending showings of residential and commercial properties.
I attended college at Florida A&M University, and after leaving in 2012, I found myself looking for my next steps, which landed me at OmniOne’s office. My career in real estate began with me being an unlicensed assistant, which meant meeting with contractors, cleaning out properties that we managed, etc. A year or so later, I earned my real estate license and started my real estate career. Over six years later and a lot of deals and lessons learned, I earned my Brokers license in August of 2019.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. In my first year, I struggled to get clients. Just as I was starting to get some traction in business and starting to grow. Between February and March of 2014, I lost both my maternal grandfather and my mother. Both were extremely tough losses. Just as I was bouncing back and my business was starting to thrive again. I almost lost all of the clients once again at the end of 2018, and then lost my paternal grandfather in January of 2019 due to him taking his own life. But thanks to God and hard work, my business took off in March of 2019 and has been consistent and growing since.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the OmniOne Realty Group story.
I am a Broker-Associate at OmniOne Realty Group. I specialize in Commercial Leasing and Sales, Luxury Homes, and Investment Properties. What sets us apart from others is the level of service that we offer our clients. What we are most proud of as a company is that we are looking to grow and add more agents and clients this year.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I personally don’t believe in “luck”, but rather in favor. I believe that what is for you is for you, and everything happens as it is supposed to. God and spirituality have been the foundation of my life.
