Meet Anthony Bermudez of StyledByBermudez in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Bermudez.

Anthony, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started as an actor in South Florida I worked a lot on independent films as well as commercials as I became more and more familiar with being on set and I was more curious about the wardrobe department so I guess that’s how I started styling.

I ended up pursuing styling signing with an agent booking my first styling gig with Fashion photographer Bruce Weber as an assistant stylist then booking my next gig as the main stylist for Golf Digest cover and story, that opens many doors to work with other celebrities, editorials and much more such as a book cover for Ben Carson then working with AARP for the cover and story with Suze Orman, as I continue my journey I was asked to style numerous of athletes for editorials, covers. Today I’m still styling living in South Florida. For me, styling never gets old when I’m on set I’m always learning something new in this Industry.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I feel like it’s never smooth you always have to go through some challenges but I think that’s part of the business, sometimes there’s a piece that’s not available so that can be a challenge or location so you have to be prepared to take those challenges and make them work.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a wardrobe stylist, I style for people that need my advice on update on their wardrobe I work with celebrities, models for editorials TV commercials print ads. I think what sets me aside from other stylist was that I was an actor so feel that help me experience and explore many different areas within the industry.

But I’m most proud of is that I keep doing what I love it never gets old or never becomes a job to me because I love it so much.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I always told myself in this Industry there’s highs and lows so keep pushing through with a positive attitude and continue to be yourself. Always keeping a positive attitude and looking forward to new challenges, no matter how small or big it is.
