Today we’d like to introduce you to Macy Mariano.
Macy, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started as a model, doing work here in Miami and had an agency in LA for a brief time. Social media was kind of being introduced and as it progressed I saw a lot more people becoming more creative and using the platform to express that. I started to do more test shoots, then reached out to smaller brands. As I grew with them I grew myself and it developed over the past three years! The rest is history.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It is honestly a rollercoaster. This job has its ups and downs. An abundance of trial and error. Things can change at any point and I have to learn to adapt to that. Being a social sharer, blogger, influencer if you will, is definitely a learning curve. However, once you get the hang of it, know how to manage yourself, get organized, know your worth, things start to get easier.

Wander With Macy is the name of my personal brand and company. I specialize in expressing my own style and sharing my travel experiences. I have a blog and website that is used mostly for my travel stays. I am most proud of maintaining my own voice and authenticity. Being yourself I think is key to this kind of profession.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Not sure if I would want to start over, because then I wouldn’t know the process and development! I wouldn’t know the wisdom I have now; but if I had to start over, I would have maybe gotten a professional camera at the time haha!
