Gelsandra, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Born and raised in “Little Old Rhody”, later moved to NYC to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, graduated with my degree in Fashion Merchandise Management. Currently living in the exciting tropical city of Miami, where opportunity is at my favor in many markets.
With almost a decade of buying experience in the digital and TV platforms, I have evolved and found my true calling, Fashion Styling. Throughout my extensive knowledge in buying, merchandising and marketing I have created Posh Palma, a writing space that embodies everything fashion related, to travel tips and women empowerment messaging. I enjoy writing content on my blog, networking and becoming an influencer in my community all while building my Fashion House. Posh Palma x Gelly is a powerhouse ready to help you create and curate your closet.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It sure has not been all beautiful with a touch of roses as they say. My first five years of my career I worked in a digital retail company in NYC, I faced challenges when the company went through acquisition at the same time I was expecting my first baby. I was tested in many ways but never gave up. The city life became over stressful, I fell into postpartum depression and it was a very dark time in my life.
My family and I later relocated to Tampa, where I was at least happier due to weather changes, but my career was at a freeze. I came from a city where Fashion never sleeps to a town where the fashion scene was remotely existent. It was challenging, but I was given a great opportunity within the shopping retail channel. Without further or due I made it down to Miami, the city I always dreamt of. I know my journey here won’t be all easy but I am ready as can be, determined and disciplined while remaining consistent.

Posh Palma is my business blog, the platform I utilize to communicate to my followers and readers everything fashion related, mixed in with travel, lifestyle and women empowerment teachings. What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is when you find blissful happiness from within, many years I felt so much pressure to be financially free and although I know this is important, I recently found myself launching Posh Palma and genuinely being happy and feeling free. I truly believe that when you are in this blissful happiness state of being, money flows on its own.
