Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Molina.
Jennifer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hi, my name is Jennifer Molina- born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Soon after I finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, I moved to Miami at 21 years old with my husband back in 2006.
My mother was a public school teacher while studied and graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychology at Phoenix University in Puerto Rico. My father was a US Air Force and Korean Veteran. I am one of four sisters. Love family gathering, art, music, reading, and board games. I currently work as a Business and Marketing admin in a Real Estate office and also a mobile notary public located in Downtown Miami.
I am a busy mom of three, a happy wife, and a businesswoman. What started as a gig is now an alternative source of income and it helps me explore many industries as I notarize for lawyers, realtors, doctors, directors, small businesses, and more. I get to enjoy meeting new people and be part of important episodes in people’s life such as solemnize a marriage.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
One of my best practices a Florida Notary Public is to be educated with Florida Law. Being part of an association helps you stay informed of law changes. One of the most simple struggles a notary has to face is to deal with people that do not agree with certain laws of notarization such as providing the appropriate identification, appear in person or expect to notarize a document that has already been signed.
Simple little details that do not comply with the law, if not handled properly, can be prejudicial for both client and notary public. But nothing like facing daily work situations with respect and the best attitude to help our clients understand Florida Law.
Please tell us more about your work.
A Notary Public is an impartial witness to the signing important documents. The official act of a notary public is appointed and publicly commissioned by the Secretary of State. It is expected from me to comply with the Florida Laws while screening signers, their understanding and their willingness to sign a document. My duty is to prevent or deter fraud. We are not attorneys at law, therefore we do not answer certain things such as how to fill certain documents.
Our clients need to be in person, with proper identification and sign the document in the presence of a Notary Public. Some of the common documents people get notarized are VIN verifications, condominium permits, Power of Attorney, Travel consents and building permits. I also solemnize marriages, notarize adoption paperwork, loan signing and more. What I am most proud of as a Notary Public is being able to perform as an official representative of the State of Florida. It is fulfilling to participate in the protection of our US citizens and residents.
Yennepher Mobile Notary Services is a remote notary service available at the comfort of your home, office or school. I work after hours when many other establishments are closed after people typically finished their work shift or for last-minute situations such as getting a parking permit for a new car in a condo. Downtown Miami/Brickell life is busy and considering parking is expensive and limited, mobile notarizations are popular in this area.
All my clients are very happy with my service, for the convenience of having someone come to you and avoid the hassle of getting in the car, driving, find a parking space, make another line to pay for the parking, weather conditions, etc. Yennepher Mobile Notary Service has an online booking system that allows people to plan accordingly and also has my personal mobile number for more booking flexibility.
What were you like growing up?
I was very friendly at school. Well knows by all my teachers for my constant effort to socialize and help others- also knows as talkative and distracted, Haha. I always participated in all sorts of events at my school and college. From helping planning classroom activities to reading poems at the Bohemian Nights at the University of Puerto Rico. When I started working, I remember I used to work for Home Depot and one of the things I was well remembered for not always being present in my “assigned” department.
Because I wanted to provide the best customer service to my clients by assisting them from beginning to end. My boss loved me, and until this day we are still friends. So during those 4 to 5 years, I’ve learned from every department. Every job always has been a learning experience, like this one, I’ve learned from how to match your desired paint with your favorite couch cushion to install ceiling fans or floor tiles. I look forward to making a positive impact on people’s lives in any possible way. I believe in smiles and manners. I am curious- I embrace learning. I love challenges. I love helping people. I think out of the box, respects people’s points of view and serve as an advocate for female empowerment, avoid animal cruelty, protecting our kids and respect law enforcement.
