Born and bred in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Alessandra Meskita’s upbringing was infused with inspiration from an early age. Both her mother—a sculptor and painter—and her grandmothers encouraged artistic expression, teaching her to sketch styles, source fabrics, cut patterns, and sew garments by the time she was 15 years old.
Alessandra has worked at some of the most successful production houses in Brazil such as Estudio Electronico, National Agency, 02films and the highly acclaimed Mixer. In 2007, Alessandra was protégé to French fashion designer Christian Audigier. Recognizing her keen eye for fashion and art, Christian Audigier moved Alessandra to Los Angeles where she became Global Creative Director for Christian Audigier Brand Management.
In 2012, after five years with Audigier’s Companies, Alessandra decided to apply her array of creative design development skills into building her own clothing line under the brand name, MESKITA. Alessandra knew that she was destined to create more than just a clothing line. She wanted to build a lifestyle. Enter Meskita, a brand conceived to accentuate culture, exploration, and imagination. Her collections exist to make consumers feel confident, sexy, and glamorous—the ultimate one-stop-shop for those who are committed to expressing their personal style through exquisite details and luxurious fabrics. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a very smooth Road as any other start-up in the fashion industry but Alessandra Meskita had many sponsors in the beginning of her careers such as Vogue Magazine, many súper models and a súper famous Fashion photographers. Steven Klein gave her a campaign because he believed in her vision and talent.
Elie Tahari landed her an entire floor for a whole year so she could get on her feet. Many stores ordered Meskita and continue to support the brand and designer even though thought times. Alessandra Meskita would say she is very lucky but the market spake would say she has talent.

Alessandra Meskita is a Brazilian fashion designer, focused on sustainability, her creations have that Brazilian sensuality but also a New Yorker edge being a cosmopolitan girl. Meskita has its own unique feeling and looks.
Her crochet line is the most known by the public and has been seeing in many celebrities and influencers around the globe summer after summer, season after season. Meskita designs are unique, very fresh and different yet classic and timeless. Alessandra has recently launched her Art collection of sketch figures of her Meskita Girls during the latest Art Basel in Miami.
