She has always expressed and channeled her creative side through different and various paths such as art, music, poetry, fashion, dance, costuming, makeup, and hair. After studying art at various magnet schools and the Coconut Grove Playhouse, Autumn got her first taste of professional experience working alongside with the famous celebrity and high fashion makeup and hair artists such as Davide Calcinai, Gianluca Mandelli, Teresa Morgan, Vicky Steckel, and Bob Recine. Working alongside them, and other professional stylists not only gave Autumn invaluable experience but also solidified her passion for hair and makeup. Autumn Suna draws on a rich background to create captivating results that have made her one of the most currently sought-after hair and makeup artists.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road was not smooth, she had numerous obstacles along the way. Autumn Suna was raised in a very strict home guided by a very reserved cult religion where fashion, art, T.V., music, were suppressed and not allowed.
After being rescued from her home, she finally had a taste of freedom to express and so it began, her unquenchable thirst to create, but her stumbling blocks did not end there she was also in an accident where she was rear-ended at full speed by a Box Truck at a Toll Booth. Autumn Suna had to be rescued with the jaws of life from her vehicle. The accident left her in physical therapy and dependent on pain killers for a year.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
Doing makeup and hair is more than making someone look good, it’s about making your clients feel good as well. It involves a lot of social skills, empathy, along with creativity. I would say my specialty is making someone look naturally flawless and being able to think out of the box sometimes even in the simplest ways.
It’s important to have an idea and be able to recreate as well as improvise and recreate your looks according to what fits the vibe and mood of your team and model. Makeup and hair artist Autumn Suna prides herself on bringing a unique, creative, professional touch to every project she commits herself to.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t think luck was what helped me make it to where I am, but hard work.
