Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Bianchini.
Jennifer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always had an affinity for wellness, nutrition and overall health of the body. My grandmother was an old-fashioned Italian woman who made homemade meals for my family every single day. We had family dinners every Sunday where my entire family gathered around and ate for hours- sitting at the kitchen table, connecting through wholesome food cooked with love and intention.
I grew up eating whole fresh foods from the earth I didn’t even know anything else existed. Growing up around whole foods and sharing and learning the connection food brought to my family started my journey to overall health and wellness of the mind, body and soul. I knew I wanted to become a nutritionist and help people become healthier through whole foods from nature. Then in my early 20’s I found yoga and this took my entire vision to the next level. From my first yoga class, I experienced the “yoga high” and I was hooked. It did not matter what was going on in my life outside of my yoga mat, as soon as I went on my mat, my inner world and the present moment was all that mattered. Everything else seemed to disappear, if only just for 1 hour or so. Little by little, I began to see mini transformations within myself and I realized things in the external world that used to irritate or annoy me didn’t seem as important. I was no longer getting angry irrationally and instead, I was feeling more and more connected and aligned to myself and a higher being.
I believe all bodies are meant for yoga and yoga is the foundation for a healthy and happy life. Yoga has the power to transform, elevate and rejuvenate the soul. Yoga teaches you to love yourself and one another, accept without judgment and appreciate life. It allows the person to find their happiness and joy from within. Yoga, whole foods, meditation and breathing techniques completely transformed me, not only on a physical level but a mental and spiritual level as well. I wanted to share my experiences and empower as many people as I could find their own transformations. This life is short, I am here to be the light and love to others when they may be feeling dim and help them to reignite their true selves and live their best possible lives as happy and healthily as possible. We all deserve to live happy, free and amazing lives based on our own choices and I help others see that. My dad wrote in my 5th-grade yearbook, “Light up the world with your smile” and that is exactly what I intend to do.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success is never ever smooth. Our plans are never exactly as we see and ultimately a higher power is guiding us. I have struggled with finding patience to allow the pace of the universe to guide me. I always think big picture and want to help as many people as I can, so at times I forget to see the things I am doing on a smaller scale. I have to continue to remind myself of that on a daily basis and celebrate small things and just stay focused on my purpose and where I want to grow as an individual and as a business.
Body to Soul – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Body to Soul is a wellness and lifestyle company that combines lifestyle/wellness and nutrition coaching along with the power of yoga, meditation and breathing to empower people to change their thoughts in order to change their lives. We live in a very external based world, so Body to Soul lifestyle coaching allows clients to take a step back, see themselves from a different point of view and realize the importance of self-care and their own worth. It is only until we can accept that we deserve it and we are worth it that we will find ultimate and true happiness. I named my business Body to Soul because it truly takes in every aspect to find connection and alignment from the entire being body, mind and soul.
As a registered dietitian-nutritionist, registered yoga teacher and integrative health coach, I specialize in women’s health and weight loss. I coach clients from a holistic and integrative point of view and determine all possible avenues of stress that may be in the person’s life and empower them to exchange healthy positive habits for the negative ones. I empower clients to meet and exceed their health and wellness goals and aspirations, overcome challenges, provide motivation and enable people to get to places they never thought possible- to reach their full potential and beyond! Although it starts with weight loss, that is never the true source and through coaching, my clients and I work together to determine the root issues and heal physically, mentally and spiritually. I provide nutrition and lifestyle coaching in person in Miami and surrounding areas as well as online support.
Along with coaching, I am a yoga instructor based in Miami Beach and the downtown area. I specialize in high-intensity power yoga, vinyasa flow for all body types, levels and experience. I also specialize in beginner’s yoga and am certified in yoga for athletes and trauma yoga. My teaching style is vinyasa-based with a combination of aspects from the teaching of Iyengar and ashtanga. I teach a variety of group classes in downtown and Miami Beach as well as private classes both in person and online.
My passion, exuberance, energy and vitality is what makes myself and Body to Soul unique and different. I bring my personal experiences, extensive knowledge and love and passion to helping each and every individual person. I truly believe true happiness and joy comes from the inside and I utilize a variety of techniques with my clients to go within and find their true light, purpose and joy. As much as I hope to inspire and teach my clients, they also inspire me and help me grow everyday so that I can continue to do what I love. My mantra is “Choose love over fear”.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
For me, the best feeling is seeing others achieve, excel and find their love and light. Developing a following of yogis who have never tried yoga before and now cannot live without it is something that really shines in my mind. When someone tries yoga for the first time, they usually have a reason, whether it is to find more flexibility, decrease stress, reduce back pain, etc. but then they start to notice gradual improvements in many other areas off their life. All of a sudden, it clicks and they find their connection to mind, body and spirit. I feel proudest when a student mentions how yoga has changed an aspect of their life or their entire life as well as when I see noticeable changes in their physical and mental yoga practice on the mat. As a teacher, my goal is to guide my students to their own feeling of greatness and hopefully inspire them as they inspire me on a daily basis.”
I am proud of where I have come on my journey so far and excited for the next steps. I have a lot of exciting things brewing for the next year and I cannot wait to share them with the world!
