Morris , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My company’s story actually starts when I was only thirteen years old. I built a website for my father’s cleaning company, yet no one was able to find him online. This lead me down the path to discovering how to get traffic to his website. At the time, I could not have imagined this part time hobby would become a successful business.
Once I got into high school, I focused on academics and wrestling,
While doing SEO on the side. Academics and wrestling became a large portion of my life, and all the hard work paid off at the age of fifteen when I was contacted by one of my dream colleges, Stanford University. At a time that should have been one of the happiest of my life thus far, I found out that I was an illegal immigrant. Being only fifteen years old, I did not know what that meant and couldn’t grasp all of the hardships that came along with it. After discussing the situation with my father, I quickly realized that I had no rights in America, and even though Stanford University was giving me an opportunity of a lifetime, it wouldn’t be possible as I didn’t have the papers to legally enroll.
When I was 17-years-old, former President Obama wrote an executive order called “DACA” which allowed illegal immigrant children that came to America before the age of 16 the right to live, work and pay taxes in America two years at a time, and with that my American dream was reborn. Unfortunately, by this time, my opportunity at Stanford passed by, but I knew that was only a bump in the road, and there was no excuse for me not to succeed in life, especially here in America. I pushed myself even harder and continued to excel throughout the remainder of school.
After graduating, I did not have an opportunity for college as I needed to start working to help out my family’s financial situation. Two years of working as a meat cutter, martial arts teacher, and a bus boy, I realized that I wasn’t getting anywhere, and became extremely disappointed with myself. After 2 months of figuring out what skills I had and what I was able to do part time while helping out my family, I choose to pursue SEO full time- never with the idea of making it what it is today. Through several bumps in the road and a burning desire to never work for someone else again, I put my hustle on overdrive. I always believed that “Hustle will beat talent when talent doesn’t hustle,” and that motto has obviously taken me in the right direction as SEO Guys Inc. has become a premier SEO company in Fort Lauderdale.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Building SEO Guys Inc. was full of twist and turns and brought me to brinks of bankruptcy and beyond. Once I was $25,000 in debt and had monthly bills to pay, I had no choice but to work my way out. I was lucky enough to find a business coach that guided me on the right path and helped me stop hitting my head on walls. Once I had a blue print to success, I worked and worked and worked some more, and slowly my company went from costing me money, to breaking even, to becoming profitable, to a fully self-sustaining company.

SEO Guys Inc. is a search engine optimization company that specializes in 5 areas of SEO which include Website, Maps, Youtube, Amazon, and E-commences SEO. What makes SEO Guys Inc. different is that we are always learning, adapting and reading our data to predict what Google will do next. As of 2017, they have already had more than 5 changes to their algorithm, and in 2018 they will be removing the desk top search engine and will be leaving only the mobile search engine which will take all non-mobile websites off the first page of Google.
I would have to say the proudest accomplishment of SEO Guys Inc. would be getting noticed by Inc. Magazine for all of our hard work. Having a 3rd party company like INC. vouch for us and let our clients know that we are professionals and we are the real deal, it really means a lot.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Everything I have done has to lead me to where I am today, and because of that, I wouldn’t change a thing.
