Today we’d like to introduce you to Lina Huertas.
Lina, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For as long as I can remember fashion has been a big part of my life, for me, it has always been the norm.
I had teenage parents who always dressed in the latest fashions & made sure I looked adorable with the latest styles, bows, hats, purses and even cute shoes. My dad’s mom was also an inspiration as for she was also part of the extended wardrobe I had and was always dressed in the latest fashion. Shopping was our favorite bonding time.
As I grew older my mom continued to help me pick out my clothes for school (we would put together outfits for the week). I went through various fashion trends; sneakers and mini skirts, preppy look, sporty, etc. Even my dad contributed to my fashion obsession by taking me sneaker shopping basically every weekend as a teen!
At 18yrs of age, I suffered the tragic loss of my father which gave me some setbacks in life and I did experience severe depression for quite some time. I took some wrong turns in life and made some poor choices in relationships which left me in a dark road. However, this is why I am who I am today. Strong, motivated and committed. I decided I wanted to open my own business and after extensive research with my current boyfriend Raul Nieto he encouraged me to go for my dream and pursue it with what I love, fashion.
I started with only swimsuits and now I’ve extended to accessories, clothing & just started adding shoes & gym wear to my online boutique.
I realize that inspiration was something I was practically raised by, good fashion and hard-working parents. I am thankful for the support my better half has given me and my close friends and family. I am just getting started and will continue helping other dolls look and feel beautiful daily with my choices that I personally pick for my boutique.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not been a smooth road, it’s been a roller coaster ride. It took me a long time to finally take a leap of faith and actually start the boutique. I was very scared at first that it wouldn’t be successful and that people wouldn’t want to buy from it. But with good faith and hard work and dedication, I have overcome all my fears and it is going super good thanks to all my #lovelychiccdolls!

Lovelychiccboutique is an Online Boutique, we sell pretty much everything. Swimwear/Gymwear/Shoes/Clothes/Accessories/Purses. We are most known for our Swimwear and our cute sets. What we are most proud of is the confidence our customers have while wearing our clothing! What sets us apart from others is that we handpick all of our items and we make sure everyone feels comfortable under their own skin at an affordable price!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always into the newest clothes and sneakers, surrounded by my friends and always looking cute when I was out & about as a teen. I find myself as a very social person I love making people laugh and I’ve always been into FASHION my entire life since I was a baby I have always been dressed up with super cute outfits.
