Ivan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It was my mom who actually first talked to me about some new machine that she had seen; which were designed to wash cars with a very minimum amount of water. At first I did not make much of it, however the more I thought about it, the more I realized that there was a lot of potential. Up to that point I had never seen an eco-friendly car wash available here in Miami, and even if there was one, I had never heard of it. I also started thinking back to my own personal experiences with car washes and how much of an inconvenience it was. Furthermore, some car washes have you waiting up to two hours until your car is finally finished and returned with a mediocre service. Realizing that most people share my feelings about going to the car wash, I became aware that there was a very large market for an eco-friendly mobile car wash in a city like Miami: with such a large amount of vehicular movement.
My previous experiences with car washes was very minimum. Up to this point the only car I had ever washed was mine and my dad’s. However, there are very few things in life I enjoy more than a challenge, and this one I saw as one of the biggest of my life.
Starting a business from nothing, can be very challenging, but at the same time has its advantages. Additionally, it can also be very exciting! By starting from scratch we were able to shape our business exactly the way we envisioned it. We had the chance to carefully study our market target, and build our brand accordingly. Since then, we have been working tirelessly on improving in every aspect; in order to be able to provide our customers, with the best quality car wash in Miami.
Has it been a smooth road?
As I am sure many young entrepreneurs would agree, starting one’s own business from scratch is never an easy task. While it has been a rewarding process, there have been many hurdles to overcome along the way. In the case of Neo-Wash Auto Spa, one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is marketing. Our business is unique in that we are Eco-friendly and offer car servicing without using water–a factor that many may find strange in the world of vehicle upkeep. Our process is exclusive and produces excellent results. By educating the public on how our system works and the benefits of using it and ultimately letting our work speak for itself I have been able to create a growing business with happy customers. Another challenge I have faced in this business is factors beyond my control, like the weather. While it may sound insignificant, the weather and the constant rain during the summer months has made it difficult at times for us to consistently meet our weekly goals. However, we try to focus on the things we can control and continue to provide our customers with quality work in the days that the weather allows it.

If you notice, there is a massive amount of motor vehicles that at one point in time will need to be serviced. The way we have designed our business, allows for an easy set up in any location that shows potential. There is no expensive equipment required, and no monthly overhead. We are currently working on franchising in order make Neo wash available to any entrepreneur that is ready to own their own business.
