Today we’d like to introduce you to Mirian Oliveira.
Mirian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I initially start at the age of 37 years. Funny enough I was in the medical field for around 10 years already. I always had a hidden passion for the arts. Soon enough I realize I was in the wrong career free for filling life; that’s what I made the change of a lifetime. I’ve been in rolled in interior design school in New York City. Step-by-step I began to distance myself from the medical career, and soon was fully transitioned into the interior design field- through the help of friends and mentors.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Was it easy? Oh of course not. Do I love what I do, and have ambition for it? Of course. My ambition is what drove me and what kept me going. Throughout life, I did many things I disliked but it’s different when you love what you were doing. It’s almost as if you’re a five-year-old once again playing with your dolls; it’s just something you enjoy never get tired of.
Tell us more about your company.
My company specializes mainly in residential projects. My favorite area to work in which I am specialized in our bathrooms. We are known for presenting an abstract design of what the interior of a house should be; integrating coziness, a welcome feeling and modernization.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
In contrary to many relying on luck, I do not believe in it or follow that social norm. I believe when you truly love something and believe in it and do it with pure excellence there’s no reason it shouldn’t work out.
