Meet Tiffiny Wilson and Angella John

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffiny Wilson and Angella John.

Tiffiny and Angella, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My mom Angella John and I (Tiffiny Wilson), we’re Registered nurses and in the year 2012, we decided we wanted to go to Nurse Practitioner School. So we applied to Nova Southeastern University’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program and we were both accepted. We graduated and walked the stage together on August 21, 2015 as Family Nurse Practitioner Graduates. When channel 6 news was interviewing us during our graduation ceremony on that day, they named us “The Mother-Daughter Duo” and when they asked us what are your plans, we answered and said we plan to open a medical practice in the future. After graduation, we both gained over three years of experience in geriatric and adult medicine. Fast forward to January of 2019, we decided to open our medical practice and remembered what the news caster called us back in 2015 “The Mother Daughter Duo” and so we decided to name our medical practice Mother Daughter Primary Care.

Since January we’ve obtained a site for our practice, had it built out, we’ve worked on credentialing and many other important tasks of opening this practice. Our official grand opening date is 11/29/2019 at 1 pm. We specialize in Adult Primary Care and we care for the following patients: walk-ins, chronic disease management, annual wellness exams, geriatric medicine, aesthetics (Botox and Dermal Fillers), Department of Transportation Physicals, and we have Access Services on site. My Mother is Angella John APRN, FNP-BC and I am Tiffiny Wilson APRN, FNP-BC and we are Mother Daughter Primary Care. #MyMother#HerDaughter.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We’ve faced many obstacles such as getting credentialed and getting our practice to pass all of the necessary inspections among many other challenges, but we’ve overcome these challenges one by one.

Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in Adult Primary Care and we care for the following patients: walk-ins, chronic disease management, annual wellness exams, geriatric medicine, aesthetics (Botox and Dermal Fillers), Department of Transportation Physicals, and we have Access Services on site. We are most proud of how far we’ve come and refuse to give up on our dream of caring for our family and our community. What makes us different is that we are a Mother Daughter team who have been RNs together, we’ve worked together, we’ve studied together through school and now we’re opening our medical practice together and share so much compassion for our patients and our community. We’re happy to be here.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t say luck, but I will say that we give all glory to God as He alone has blessed us to make it this far in opening our business.
