Meet Gianfranco Berardinelli of The Hunting Studio in Bal Harbour

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianfranco Berardinelli.

Gianfranco, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I´ve been working in fashion since I was 18 years old. I started my career as a blogger and then I started writing articles for different magazines. After that I created my tv show on TV, it was a big success. When my tv show was on air, I decided to move to NYC so I was working from there for my show (fashion week, interviews with the most important fashion designers, galas, etc.) I decided to move back to my country -Venezuela- where I continued doing my show and just right after that I had a call from Hello Magazine asking me if I was interested in beige its fashion editor, they were landing in the country so I said yes. My TV show was on air for years in Venezuela and some other cities in Latin America. I worked for Hello Magazine for seven years in a row. Did also radio for about four years in the most important radio station down there. During that period I heard the crowd and I founded my Fashion Consultant company with my business partner Johanna Morillo. We were doing so great with local and international clients. So I moved to Miami two years ago and this is what I´ve been doing, consulting local brands and also local stores. I´m doing my own YouTube Channel: Lord Gian, and also writing some articles as a freelance at Nexos Magazine (American Airlines Magazine) and Ocean Drive Magazine (Venezuelan Version)

Has it been a smooth road?
I was famous in my country so it was so easy and natural for me. When I moved to Miami, the most difficult thing is to understand the market, which is very interesting and particular. I thought it was going to be almost perfect as it happens in NYC but not, is the opposite. I think is a good place to be, because there’s a lot of market opportunities to develop products and boost up brands. It´s almost like living in a little town, but not.

Please tell us about your work.
I do have an entire understanding of the industry, is working in so many roles with a different kind of media is something really important to understand. Also, I´ve traveled the world, including its fashion capitals, for work and pleasure and as Diane Briland said: “The Eye Has to Travel”. Developing luxury experiences is something you know because you had the experience of being working on that as a journalist and also as a customer. Information is power, the more you know, the more powerful you are.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best I like about being here is the number of market opportunities we had in our field to develop it, the challenge is to find out the right investors to make it happen. The least I like about Miami it could be sometimes the informal way of doing things, even business are informal here.
