Today we’d like to introduce you to Liana DeGeorge.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It’s funny because when I think about “my story” and how I got to where I am today, I realize I never actually gave my future much thought. I always lived in the moment. I’ve reached my highest highs and lowest lows. I guess you can say everything really changed as soon as I made that bold move to drive 3000 miles away from home.
I was a carefree 21 years old free spirit who wanted to explore a new place…aka South Beach Miami. I immediately got into the club industry working as a VIP bottle server. For about two years, I was completely wrapped up in the rich and fame. Dollar signs in my eyes and I saw nothing else. I got addicted to the lifestyle and wasn’t sure when or IF I’d stop. That is until one random day, I met my now husband while partying on a boat lol. Here I am a few years later married, with two kids, living what most people call “The American Dream.” I quickly became an Instagram “influencer” even though I hate using that term. People were intrigued and inspired by how quickly I transitioned from this single party girl to being a mother and wife. But most importantly staying true to myself no matter what my title is.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not been an easy smooth road. Everything was happening so fast and I feel like all the most important moments in my life were slipping between my fingers because I couldn’t hold on long enough to savor and enjoy phase. For example, I only dated my husband for about a year before he proposed to me…and three months later, we found out I was pregnant which was completely unexpected. I was pregnant, planning a wedding and still trying to hold on to that “honeymoon phase” with my fiancé. On top of all that, I had an image to maintain on social media. People wanted more and more so I kept giving my all….which made me realize I can potentially use my platform to help others as well as use it for future business moves.
Lianawhoo – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As of right now, my main company is running the DeGeorge Household haha. Being a full-time stay at home mom is what I’m proud of because let me tell you…this job is NOT easy. Some days I wish I was the one who had a 9-5 job at an office. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a three months old. As you can imagine sitting down and relaxing is out of the question… right now, I currently have Luna reorganizing my entire closet which will take me weeks to actually organize haha…but hey anything to keep her occupied.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Raising my children. Witnessing these little humans absorbing so much in such a short amount of time! We truly don’t give children enough credit to how amazing and quick they are at catching on to everything!
