Today we’d like to introduce you to Karine Aubéry.
Karine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
From a French Family, I’m born in the US, raised in Europe, “Geneva and Paris”, with my International Education, I’m also very proud to be an autodidact Entrepreneur who has an obsession with colors and forms.
After many years working in advertising agency and for a Radio/TV Media, I decide to change my life and to start to start what I love the most, working with design and colors.
I’m a Spiritual Globe Trotter, I believe that the answer is inside us, we need to find the ways to get in – I believe also, everything happens for a reason and you are and become what you want to be.
So in 2001, I moved to Miami and opened my own business and become an Antiques Dealer/Design Consultant …
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most challenging aspect about Miami is to have the things done and close to perfect.
For someone who is looking to become an Entrepreneur, Miami is the perfect place for learning that how survives in the jungle as an entrepreneur and the most rewarding is to be an Entrepreneur woman as I am!

AUBÉRY is a Mid-Century Modern, Vintage, and Glamorous Furniture Store from the 1940s to the early 1980s. The store has been open since 2003 and is located in North Miami.
Behind each piece of furniture that comes to my hands, you’ll find a love story. I picked my pieces based not only by names but on good materials and attractive silhouette.
Be able to transform a classic piece to fit current lifestyles is my gift and some are saying that also my French Touch! Lol.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I’ve had a dream to open a division of AUBÉRY, a furniture restoration. I did it!
AUBÉRY Design Division Specializing in Restoration and Repair of Antique Furniture, From Touch up to Full Restoration with Impeccable Luxurious Finishes.
Very often Women are not trusted or surrender by jealousy, so I decide to shut down two years ago.
I was talented and very successful but sometime it’s not enough to keep going; but I’m very proud of what I did and accomplished.
Who knows, maybe one day I will reopen one.
