Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Trucco.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Stephanie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I was a little girl I used to get bullied for being overweight and for being very annoying, and over the years it took a toll on my mental health and eventually I found out that my only escape was Youtube. Watching creators like Shane Dawson and Jenna marbles do awesome things online really inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and to record myself doing funny and dumb things. I wanted to create a channel of my own for so long and it took about three years of convincing myself and gaining up the confidence to do so. Eventually one day I just said “screw it” and I uploaded my first video… At first, I was really scared that I would be made fun of at school for having my own channel, as it is a very vulnerable place to put myself …the internet. Eventually, I just stop caring about what people thought and I just did me. I’ve met so many new people and made so many new friends through YouTube and I can honestly say it’s been that the Best decision of my life. While I’m 17 currently, I only plan on growing my YouTube platform and continue to inspire young girl and boys that were non-confident like me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any creator, coming up with new content is very difficult but also very fun. Of course there’s been low points in my life where I thought “what’s the point it’s not gonna get me anywhere anyways” but in those low points I simply remember the people that support me and how many people I’ve inspired with my small channel already . And I think “let me keep going”. I will never stop… I will never stop because it is one of the only things that bring me happiness and keep me out of my comfort zone. I never want to be stuck in my comfort zone ever again after what I experienced in my lowest points. Meeting new people and creating new videos keep me active and makes my life very fun. End it brings me the greatest happiness I can ever think of on this planet. I will never trade anything for my YouTube channel and I would never trade anything for the people that support me and love me.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am mostly known as the “vegan girl” in my school and to my friends. I am very eco-friendly and I always try to send out the best messages possible inspire people to do the same. I am extremely proud of what I’ve created of myself and because of this I only plan to continue to inspire and to influence my audience. My channel is to help people believe in themselves and their dreams, and that eventually everything will be OK and life is just a big party and it’s OK to have low times, it’s awesome to have high times and it’s OK to have middle times.
What are your plans for the future?
My future plans is to continue to grow my YouTube channel and to eventually move to LA, California create more awesome and inspiring content. I want YouTube to be my career. YouTube is probably one of the funnest jobs I can think of. I have my own personal freedom, I am my own producer, editor and manager, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
