Today we’d like to introduce you to Greicy Santos.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Greicy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my work as a model at 13 years old doing part of hair and makeup shows at fairs in Brazil. Beauty Fair and Hair Brazil. Soon after I graduated from the Tourism College and joined the flight attendant area at 18 years old, I worked for two and a half years in a large Brazilian airline and was the youngest flight attendant in the market.
As a makeup artist and specialist in aesthetic procedures, At 19, I started my first Micropigmentation company, giving courses in beauty, micropigmentation, eyebrows and makeup. With the growth of my social network (Instagram) I was invited by the Pitbull Jeans brand to make merchandise on TV SBT IN 2015 on Wednesdays in the Mouse Program. Also being one of the main models of the hair company Capelli Divine in which I am both today. As I am living in Miami Beach so I act as a brand model working on campaigns and outreach. And in 2018, I participated in the Miss Brazil USA model contest thus winning the third-place title and the Miss Congeniality 2018 title.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey here has not been easy, besides being a businesswoman at 19 and working hard in my company and modeling career, doing the jobs at the same time, I could focus today on the area I love the most so entering even deeper into modeling career with my title of Miss Congeniality 2018 by Miss Brasil USA 2018 contest.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a non-acting flight attendant. Micropigmentation specialist and designer eyebrows, eye and lip micropigmentation. I do volunteer work from Brazil in my company, and here in Miami also rebuilding areolas of women who have gone through cancer thus returning femininity and self-confidence to those who have had the surgery for total or partial breast removal. Makeup artist and also instructor of all these procedures in Brazil for eight years. I am known for being a pioneer in this area, and for having a great social network (Instagram) in my work as a model of major Brazilian brands and working in television since 2015. I am proud to be able to take my work as a micropigmentation specialist for these women who have gone through this disease like breast cancer to feel women again.
In addition to doing volunteer work for senior ladies in my clinics in Brazil. I feel special that God has given me this gift and can help the people who need it most. As a beauty instructor, I get to know people and stories in which I am moved, and I know that everything in life has a purpose and everyone who got in my way was able to teach something for life as a profession and main income for many families. In the modeling career, I was able to show the strength of the Brazilian woman to people as soon as she has the same body as mine to feel more confident because many see me in my social network asking for advice and help to accept themselves the way they are.
What were you like growing up?
Besides being a very young businesswoman, I had to learn to manage two areas that I am passionate about and which are very close to each other. Social networking today has helped my growth as a professional and a model by being part of serious companies that have brought me many fruits and achievements. Knowing how to differentiate superfluous things certainly makes us learn more. I studied hard to be able to understand everything that is going on today in my life thus managing emotions and impulses that we all human beings have.
