Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Lidome.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Claire. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have lived in six different countries and speak four languages. My first job after college had me travel to Europe and Asia constantly opening markets and finding new products, but my home base was Boston. After 10 years of snow, I could not take it any longer and I had to find a place that was sunny and still allow me to maintain my international connections: Miami was the best choice!
Over the last 17 years in the corporate world, I have seen firsthand the damage that pressure and stress can do to our systems: from lack of sleep, to getting sick regularly, fighting with loved ones, feeling of overwhelm, demotivation, loss of purpose and feeling of being utterly alone. It is different for everyone but the end result can be devastating especially if an individual reaches the point of burn out.
Most people live their lives at the effect of something else; when in reality I can coach them with tools to empower their mindsets and make decisions that will actually serve them, and break the cycle of being at the effect of something that keeps them stuck. The only constant in this life is change, and we are not well equipped to face the many transitions we are forced to endure over the course of our lifetime. Equipped with a strong mindset, my clients feel empowered to face these changes and even anticipate them in order to choose life on their own terms. I coach people to become conscious leaders and make the best choices for themselves.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Before you can become a coach, I think it is probably a long road for everyone simply because in order to know what you are talking about, and be genuine with your clients; you have to have lived and surmounted it yourself. Walk the walk and talk the talk. Having lived in so many different countries, I have had my fair share of transitions, changes and challenges. This has made me the person I am today. Frankly, this is where my passion comes from: I can authentically be myself and genuinely coach people because I know it works.
Having said, coaching is not for everyone. This empowering process can only be successful with commitment, diligent work and strong will power to change one’s life. It takes being open to explore our strengths and weaknesses, and take accountability for whom we are in the present moment, and how we want to show up to create our future.
It is one of the best investments you can do for yourself. We all need to embrace who we are: our specific journeys and our unique set of skills in order to establish balance and set ourselves up for opportunities, growth and fulfillment. Happiness and fulfilment can only be found “inside” yourself and as a coach, I hold a confidential and safe space to support and guide you through their process.
Claire Lidome Coaching – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I work in 3 different ways: one on one coaching, group coaching and corporate coaching.
The process is quite simple. First, I offer a complimentary call with the person to understand what the current situation is. Together, we decide if we are a good fit to work with each other. The coaching process is very personal and the #1 priority is to have good chemistry with your coach. Once we decide we are both committed to working together for the next few months, I customize my packages to the needs of each individual.
A great way to get acquainted to the coaching journey is through a group program. It offers an opportunity to share one’s challenges with a community of like-minded people who are going through similar things and that will support you throughout the process. The groups are no more than 5 people so it stays very intimate and everyone has a chance to participate.
I am known for incorporating energy in my work. This is the foundation of what we are made of as human beings, yet it is completely overlooked. I use the energy as a benchmark from which my clients can understand how engaged or productive they are being in life. Many individuals feel drained and do not understand that it is a sign we can use to address the problem and find a solution to stop the cycle that is not working for them.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
As a woman, my definition of success is simply being comfortable in your own skin. Knowing yourself, your dreams and boundaries and having the freedom to live your truth. Once you have mastered that, you consciously create the life you want and show up every day with a mindset of growth and opportunity. It is incredibly empowering and fulfilling!
As a leadership and mindset coach, success is being a good match for my clients to give them the right balance between encouragement and accountability to help them reach their dreams. It is a privilege and honor to serve others and I am humbled every time my clients have a break-through.
As philanthropist, success is making our communities stronger by donating our time and energy to support one another. I belong to the Rotary Club of Brickell, which is a dynamic club of young professionals who are making a difference both locally and internationally. It is a great way to make friends and give back!
