Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Cristina Carmona.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am Venezuelan, born in Caracas and I grew up in Barquisimeto, a city full of color and music, of which I carry in my heart the best memories and experiences.
Coming from a family that loves art and parents architects, unquestionably an inherited creative spirit.
A few years ago, I started my project of cards designed and painted by hand with Pop-Art or Graffiti theme under the signature “ACRICA.”
I currently live in Orlando and I am developing acrylic painting on canvas, under the abstract and Pop-Art line. It has brought me great personal and emotional satisfaction since to realize a creative activity and the expectation of the final result is priceless.
I love vibrant colors, my inspiration is to be able to transmit happiness and love through my art, it makes me happy to fill with color the homes or special places of people who acquire my works.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an immigrant has been an adventure, high and low but I have always stood firm and with my objectives very defined.
When you do what you like, there is nothing and no one who can stop you, but organization, perseverance, commitment and lots of love are required. Art has been my way of venting and expressing myself, without a doubt it is my passion.
ACRICA – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Plastic Artist, my technique is Acrylic on canvas. My brand name is ACRICA it comes from ANA CRISTINA CARMONA.
A journey of my art, I want to convey to the world that there is nothing more important in life than love and being happy. “Live beautiful.”
Tell us about your favorite and least favorites things about our city.
Miami is a fabulous city, full of colors, styles, flavors, and cultures, I love that!
