Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberto Gonzalez.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story is very simple. A man living in Cuba with a dream of a better future for my family. I completed my degree in Acoustical Engineer with many years of experience under my belt. I decided to leave Cuba for that dream of mine. I entered USA in 2000 where I was luckily hired by Cristina Saralegui, owner of Blue Dolphin Studios in Miami, FL as their acoustical consultant. There I was able to gain knowledge and experience because at that moment I realized I could have a company that belongs to me. I worked full time at Blue Dolphin Studios and started making panels in the backyard of my house. I was a one man team with a dream. From the backyard of my house to small storage place where I would store our building materials, to a warehouse and now President of Acoustic Sonic, Inc. and the rest is history.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like everything, we had our ups and downs. Competition has been one of major obstacles because we were introducing a product with hopes of likes. We have been thankful that our production of panels has passed our expectations and we look forward to the future.

Acoustic Sonic, Inc. is a company that concentrates in providing soundproofing materials for apartments, buildings, schools, offices, recording studios, TV and radio stations.
Our soundproofing products include absorbing panels, acoustic wall panels. ceiling tiles, sound barriers, acoustic doors, acoustic diffusers, acoustic fabric, baffles and sound absorbing foam.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a very hard working and quiet young man. I also knew what I wanted to study and be. During my college years, I received several scholarships to study the latest acoustical techniques.
