Art & Life with Judina Isabelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judina Isabelle.

Judina, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My journey within Photography has heavily built its momentum recently, and I have my environment of local creators to thank for a lot of that. As a Creator, the process one g(r)o(w)s through can Be seen as disorganized or without direction. You can be a genius, or you can Be the insane one. Whichever it is, shouldn’t affect your craft, your flow, the way you move. One’s craft is to Be cultivated through the authenticity and vulnerability that their inner child naturally emanates. I, myself, feel like I am now catering to this child in me as I navigate through my artistry. I am allowing my creativity to lead my organic expression. I have always had an organic attraction to Art, whether it Be musical or visual. Throughout time, Photography Became the area which I effortlessly embodied. Going from mainly using my phone for it’s camera, to investing in my own DSLR, to leading the Photography club one year during my undergraduate studies in Psychology, to co-leading Shoot/Meet MIA (local Miami meetups joining Photographers and all other creatives), this journey has been filled with lots of learning, lots of growth. I am able to recognize that my fruits have been limited due to my limited giving, and we all know the law of exchange when you give, you receive (10 fold). I intend to fill this infinite journey with much more risk-taking, and execution of projects that I intend on curating. of equal importance is my advocacy for mental health and emotional intelligence. And let’s just say, you can look forward to that influencing my portfolio.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I create visuals through Photography. Meaning, I capture moments in time using my perspective, my flow, my natural attraction. My primary focus tends to Be in fashion and nature. I strongly admire that fashion creates room for creativity. I love palm trees. Being a South Florida native, I am at the hub of all beautiful trees and fauna. Yup, I’m a treehugger. I mean, they only provide us with our survival kits.

Being the subject in front of the camera is a place that feels like home also. Since I do both, it serves as a plus, Being able to understand the process needed to perform both roles, and also figuring out my own flow. When I photograph, I implement my value of authenticity throughout the process, from the beginning, as early as the first brainstorm, to the end. I create as it resonates with me. I do the best I can to ensure one is comfortable so that they can have the space to express their vulnerability confidently. After all, Art is an expression that requires you to tap into your self and create from that magic. You gotta feel trusting enough of the space to truly deliver it raw and with quality.

Writing is a lovely passion of mine, one which I never see myself parting from. I Believe everyone should write on paper. If not, then in your digital journal. Record an audio. Tell someone. Reflect in your mind. Document it somehow. Do so when you are feeling your emotions at its peak, do so when you don’t know what else to do. Do so when everything is going perfectly.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
1) As soon as you can, soon not to suggest a rush but to initiate urgency, learn what is the best way you like to Be supported. Then, share that with your support system. It is CRUCIAL that you create the space for you to Be your highest, most vibrant, authentic self. YOU MUST BE WITHIN YOUR POWER. So much suffering comes from people fearing, running away from, and not accepting their power. The ones who have our hearts are the ones who claimed their power and embody it so simply that it looks effortless. That’s what happens when you claim your power; the effort feels like play rather than work.

2) Surround yourself with the community. SUPPORT LOCAL.

3) Very importantly, trust the process. Surrender to the process. Be all in or all out, No half in and half out. Take that risk on yourself. Everything you do is validated simply because you created it. I’m talking to me while I’m talking to you.

4) Lastly, wait for it. Patience. Patience. Patience.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
My work is now displayed on my Instagram, @playingwithju, and my website www.cre8wtam.wixsite.com/cre8wtam (will soon be listed as www.theamazanmind.com).

Support comes in many forms. To me, the ultimate forms are

1. Reaching out, send a DM/email/message on my website, letting me know if my Art connected with you, or affected you in any way.
2. Spread the word. I am flexible and unlimited in my creativity, so never think that a simple sharing of my content or spreading the word is too small of an action to Be influential. Because it is not.
3. Investing in any curated project.
