Meet Svetlana Fokina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Svetlana Fokina.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My love for photography appeared in Russia, and it was like a hobby that I enjoyed in my free time from my main job at the Ralph Lauren store. But when I moved to live in Miami, it was decided to make the photo my main business.

For almost five years, I have been doing this professionally.

Please tell us about your art.
My main passion is the fashion industry. Work in this field in Russia instilled in me a love for style, aesthetics, and beautiful things.

Now I am happy to use these skills in both commercial orders and in creative projects.

I also take pictures of families with great pleasure, because family is one of the greatest values in life for me. This is what you need to appreciate and cultivate. For family albums, I prefer the classics, something that is timeless and filled with real emotions and love.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Success is relative, and above all, is the difference between how you were and how you became.

Therefore, initially, it should be measured based on this.

Diligence, openness of mind, trust of life and perseverance – I think these qualities are necessary for an artist
