Meet George Allen II of City Hope Clothing in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to George Allen II.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started off playing basketball since I was three years old. I’ve played at every level, all the way up to the collegiate level. After a couple of incidents, I came back home and started my Entrepreneurial dreams. I first started off with taking pictures as a photographer, I got good with the camera in less than a year. After that, I started to transition into modeling, my first shoot was for my birthday, and it turned out amazing! Ever since then, I have been modeling & now, I’m opening up my own clothing brand!

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, coming from an everyday lifestyle basketball player to being a businessman is very difficult. Everybody has known me as a George (PJ) Allen the basketball player, not the business side of me. But just knowing myself, & never giving up on myself has shaped me into the man I am today. Without failure, you can’t succeed.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the City Hope Clothing story. Tell us more about it.
I am a business owner, I run my own clothing brand called City Hope Clothing. I’m also a model & I’m a photographer. I’m most proud of inspiring others to never give up on their dreams and to keep pushing! Things that set me apart from others is my mindset! I don’t talk a lot, I just go out and do it! Most people have million dollar dreams just like me, the difference is they don’t execute the dream. People want things to happen overnight.

Do you feel like there are certain traits that increase the likelihood of success?
I think my best trait is (patience). I fall in love with the process! It’s the best feeling knowing where you started from & to see where you at now. Started from the bottom!
