Today we’d like to introduce you to Alvaro Navarro.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started when my brother introduced me to “Movie Maker” (Basic video editing software). This happened when I was about eight years old. I remember playing with the program and being introduced to video editing. I loved it.
A couple of years later, I was the admin of a large Facebook page of fans of the game Megaman. My page was named Megaman X9. This was based on a fan requested game that unfortunately to this day, is still not out. I began to edit videos about my Facebook, and that is when I got introduced to YouTube.
Years later to 2015, I decided to instead of making videos about Megaman, I should make videos about me. That is when it happened. Couple years later advancing into 2017. I was already making interview videos, pranks, and things that were related to my image/brand aka Alvarox9
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road, and I’m still not done with this journey. There are a lot of struggles that are unseen when it comes to making YouTube videos. It is not the only interviews, and that is it, or making pranks, and that is it.
Driving to the place, getting out of your comfort zone, there is always the post-production struggles like getting the good shots, or good reactions. There is a lot of time that you must invest in this, however, the important thing is to love doing it. If you love it as much as I do, then you will realize that it is all worth it.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I’m a content creator. (YouTuber) I create videos to mainly entertain people with a similar mindset as me. I interview people about different types of topics: dating, relationships, college, sex and more. I talk about past personal problems I have come across and how to overcome them.
I do social experiments as well pranks, and very soon I will be performing “one on one interviews.” I will be inviting influencers as well as artists or public figures to discuss their careers and opinions with me.
I am most proud as YouTuber when I see that my content impacts the public. When people come up to me and say: “Hey are you Alvaro? I have seen your videos” or when they laugh at the videos I post. That is when I feel the proudest.
What sets me apart from the others is that I am real with myself. I do not have to show what I have. I do not fake anything nor am I scared to share my opinion in public. I am the same regardless if there is a camera or not.
When you look back, what are you most proud of?
One of the proudest moments as a Youtuber was when I reached 1k subscribers. I know caring about numbers shouldn’t have to be important, but coming from a small Youtuber mentality and going from none to a thousand is definitely a reason to be proud of.
I was also proud when I completed my Florida Tour. I went on this road trip around the big schools in Florida by myself in order to catch the life of college students that live up north of the state. Achieving this demonstrated that whatever you have in mind, is possible as long as you work for it.
