Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Ramos.
Christine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story… well, I started making soap in late 2016 after my first son passed away. I had complications with my pregnancy and some not so well rounded doctors. I fell into a deep dark depression and didn’t know how to cope with this great loss I’d just suffered. I tried therapies and changing my hair color; you know, the normal coping methods. But none of those things worked for me. I thought about going back to work and stumbled upon a soap video of this woman in Israel making soap using purees. I was instantly intrigued! I wanted to know how you could make soap using fruits, vegetables, and herbs? So, I researched soap making, found and took a course on it. Before I knew it, I was hooked and making my very first soap! I felt so alive and full of a new purpose knowing I’d just created and successfully executed my first concoction!
After my first success, I went and tested a bunch of recipes that I hand made using shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, castor and gave samples out to family, friends, and neighbors. Pretty soon, I had people calling asking if I had any more soap they could buy and how soft their skin was! I created a few more batches, cured them for six weeks, went to my first event and never looked back. I mainly use essential oils and natural or vegan colorants for my soaps. I want the best quality products without the extra fluff. I want the best quality products without the extra fluff. So, with my products, you actually get one of a kind handmade products made by only one person! All of my recipes, designs, labels, and packaging are all fabricated by me! I am a believer in turning pain into beauty and I believe I have accomplished that with my vegan products. Has it been a smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur has been very rewarding. I get to express myself through my eczema friendly creations that everyone including babies get to use! I get to work from home and make what I choose. The only struggle I would say is deciding what to make that week and not getting to play all day with my 1-year-old son.

I handcraft cold processed vegan soaps using essential oils. I specialize in making amazing smelling soaps that are eczema friendly. I’m known for the Athens bar; named after my first son. It consists of my custom soap base, Peppermint and tea tree essential oils, Activated charcoal and topped with hemp seeds. It definitely smells as good as it sounds! My brand allows you to make time for yourself while keeping your skin soft and clean!
I started my company to make vegan products that are not only useful but make you feel good while using them. It’s like an aromatherapy session while bathing!
When you look back, what are you most proud of?
I’m proud of believing in myself when no one else did. But the proudest moment of my career so far was successfully completing a 400 bar order for a client!
