What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?

We’ve been working on our publication and platform for almost a decade because we deeply believe that the world will be a far more empathetic and collaborative place if we all had the ability to know each other’s stories. The past decade has brought unimaginable challenges along the way, but we persevere because we believe this is mission worth never giving up on. We often are inspired by the folks we’ve featured and their commitment to their respective missions and so we asked some of them to talk to us about this very topic and have share some responses below.

Marco Caridad

One project I’m deeply committed to, no matter how long it takes, is Biolumina, the artist residency I’m building in Vieques, Puerto Rico. I bought the property before Hurricane María—it was a small wooden house filled with dreams. The storm took it away, but not the vision behind it. Kelli Binnings

Helping creative pros and entrepreneurs find joy, meaning, and fulfillment in their work. This goes back to my mom and her work ethic. I’m living proof of her influence applied to my passion, and I just want to pay it forward and show others how to make the same connection with theirs. Read more >>>

Laura Reiss

KINDNESS. Global Kindness. Kindness practiced, intentional, powerful enough to change lives. If we teach people, especially youth, to care for themselves, others, and the world, we’ll raise empathetic, strong, open-hearted leaders. Culture change takes time, but I’m committed for as long as it takes, because kindness belongs in every curriculum, every home, every heart. It’s a skill, let us teach it. Read more >>>
