Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Gotz.
Hi Hanna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I would work with fashion and women. I love bridal most of all because it is a chance to be a part of an incredible moment and help make it last forever.
Growing up in the Dominican Republic, I saw the tradition and romance of the Latin world. When I moved to Miami for design school and then later on Los Angeles, I was immersed in modern style and individuality. I try to infuse this blend in every piece I design for Hanna Gotz Studio, whether for the bride (and her many looks) or the bridal party.
I work with custom clients bringing their visions to life and I just recently launched a bridal collection which I am really excited about! The collection can be seen on my website, www.hannagotz.com.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, nor will it ever be! That comes with being a creative entrepreneur. It’s something I have to remind myself of every day.
Launching a bridal collection in 2021 has been a challenge. The world continues to be affected by the pandemic and though weddings are coming back, as a new brand, it is difficult territory to venture into. My focus now is to introduce the collection in this new world we live in!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
HGS, as I call it, was created as a brand for the bride that craves timeless originality. Specifically for the bride that wants to own her individuality and create a look that is completely her own. The collection itself is composed of high-quality, memorable bridal separates that can be styled in unlimited ways. Designed to evoke a sense of the unexpected, the separates can be worn again and again.
One of my favorite things about this experience is that I get to work one-on-one with brides, with the finest quality materials and with talented seamstresses out of our beautiful, light-filled studio in Miami.
I’m excited to say that we offer inclusive sizing and look forward to adding even more sizes in the future.
