William Hobbs IV shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
William, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Mental Health, Confidence and Ego. Not everybody can put their pride to the side to advance for the better. Not everybody is confident with themselves or their decisions. Not everybody knows how to gauge their mental health either.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Nitrose. Im a producer, A&R and an Artist. I run a production company / label / talent management firm called “Nitrose Productions”. We help creatives execute their vision efficiently and effectively as well as handle logistics on the business side. We are a one stop shop for all of your needs from Music Production, Video Production, Mixing, Mastering, Songwriting and Marketing. No matter what the vision is we got it covered.
Right now we are working on the second installment of “In Nitrose We Trust” as well as working on other albums coming from artists on the camp. 12 placements were released within the last 3 weeks of previous works.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Playing sports while i was young made me feel powerful. Overcoming and outmaneuvering my opponents gave me a sense of invincibility. Competition shapes us.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Plenty of times. I also realize that im not in a position to quit because nobody is going to do anything for me and not everybody can do what i do in the way that i do it. If i stop right now then the business stops for other people outside of myself. Sometimes i dont know how to stop.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I’m pretty straightforward. It’s hard for me to fake the funk. I’m naturally a positive person. I like to have fun and get things done. I believe my image reflects that.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
That nobody is entitled to anything. We must save ourselves.
