Tamar Gail shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Tamar, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I have been walking a very specific path since I was a child. It didn’t always make sense to me although the older I have become the more clear the path I have walked became. My mother called me ‘the wanderer’ as a child. It seems to be fitting as I have lived on five different continents and in five different countries, but it wasn’t wandering. I was continuously growing and developing myself for the woman I needed to be, as I continue to walk this path. This path has become my work in the world. It is what I teach others to access through my practice.
Do you remember something that came so naturally to you as a child that didn’t seem to be so natural to others? I remember very clearly laying in the grass beside my brother when we were about 4 years old. I picked a flower, one that was considered a weed and I explained it was ok to eat the flower, and ate it to show him. He was so worried that I would be poisoned that ran home to tell our mom. Many, many… many years later I was living in the French Alps and discovered I had a chemically induced hormonal imbalance. I began a research for to heal myself. Wouldn’t you know it, the flower that I ate when I was four was the exact flower that I needed to help balance my hormones. I have many stories like this. Some that would seem a little strange to some, and yet it is also clarity for the path that I have been walking.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Tamar- a Feminine Embodiment Guide, Mentor for Women’s Sensuality, Leadership & Legacy, Priestess of the Sacred Arts, and creator of The Feminine Codes®, a modern mystery school returning women to their inner temple of power, sensuality, sovereignty and soul truth. I host The Feminine Codes Podcast and design luxury, non-toxic candles in my shop, ‘Ritual’. Each candle is carefully and thoughtfully curated and created with intention.
Through my podcast, The Feminine Codes, live rituals, retreats, and sacred mentorship, I help women remember who they are beneath the layers of burnout, striving, and societal roles. I guide them to awaken their sensual wisdom, heal generational patterns, and reclaim their leadership through their body, not by force, but by feminine presence and devotion.
As women, we carry a divine blueprint encoded in our bodies. One that holds the power to create and birth worlds. We are vessels of the sacred, temples of life itself. We have been gifted a unique capacity to feel, to connect, and to embody the essence of the creative life force that moves through every living thing on earth. When we allow ourselves to simply be… When we open our hearts to love… When we reconnect to the sacred intelligence of our wombs… We awaken the Feminine Codes that have lived within us since the beginning of time. This remembrance is what will create the needed shift in humanity at this time.
My work centers on:
• Feminine embodiment & nervous system attunement
• Archetypal and womb-based healing
• Storytelling, shamanic wisdom
• Sacred sensuality, feminine magnetism & legacy leadership
• Reclaiming the lost feminine mysteries through initiation & ritual
I’ve recently launched The Feminine Code® App ~ a sensual, spiritual, and somatic journey designed to reconnect women to their body’s wisdom. It is perfect for any woman who experiences exhausted, burnout from performing, doing, being in overdrive, tending to everyone else. I also lead certification pathways for women ready to walk the priestess path and embody the feminine arts within their lives and own sacred work. AND I am excited to announce the Pilgrimage de la Rose, in the south of France, that I will be hosting in April 2026.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This is an adorable question and one that I ask all of my students when they are in deeper trainings with me. I truly believe that when we can tap back into this essence of ourselves then we find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I also believe that this part of us connects us to our true path and legacy. So, who was I? I have to say, I was pretty magical! I had this incredible connection to the Earth along with a ginormous heart that wanted to every creature to know it was loved. I don’t think they always appreciated it though, haha. I was romantic, even as a child. I chased butterflies, danced in the rain, watched for shooting stars and had no fear. I climbed and jumped off of the top of everything. I was also extremely creative. I started reading when I was 3 years old and wrote my first recipe book when I was about 7. The recipes were probably not very good but I thought they were the best thing at the time.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I wouldn’t wish suffering on anyone and at the same time I can say that the suffering I have gone through has taught me how powerful and resilient I truly am. If what I have gone through hasn’t broken me, then nothing will. I have always come back stronger, more resilient, more connected to my truth and my path. It has broken my heart open but it has also opened me up to be able to share and receive more love, to have more compassion. It has allowed me to clearly see the intentions, the integrity or the lack of integrity in others as well.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to reconnecting people to their hearts, to the earth, and to remembering who they are underneath the conditioning. I’m committed to bridging the divide between men and women, as I feel this division is one of the greatest tragedies that we’ve faced. We all, deep down, desire to experience intimacy that has depth and heart – true intimacy – and so I would love to see people remember. This is also for the children. I work with women, not only because I am a woman and understand the intricacies of being a feminine woman in a masculine driven world, but also because as women we are the first teachers of the children. We birth and raise the next generation and so when we remember who we are, when we are empowered and leading with our hearts, I truly believe we will begin to shift what we are seeing in the world in a positive way.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am definitely doing what I was born to do. I didn’t choose the easy path. My work isn’t something that is mainstream and to be honest most people don’t understand what I do. I do love to watch people though, because when a woman works with me even if she doesn’t fully ‘get it’, there is an ah ha moment and it is in this moment that her life begins to shift and she begins to light up from within. Maybe it could look like fluff from the outside but this work is deep and rich.
I did actually graduate with a degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of MIU and I build monolithic domes. My focus is on building healing spaces, retreat locations, and temples. It isn’t something I advertise but when the project comes up I still take it. So you could say that I did try to go the route of believing for a moment that getting a degree was my path but to be honest, I’ve never been good at doing what I’m told. Growing up I wanted to be like Martha Stewart. I love making things beautiful… cooking, gardening, throwing dinner parties, designing spaces… but this is actually an aspect of the feminine arts so it still is aligned with what I was born to do.
