Story & Lesson Highlights with Priscila Zoullas of Coral Gabels

We recently had the chance to connect with Priscila Zoullas and have shared our conversation below.

Priscila, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
While I am beyond grateful to have a business that I am passionate about growing and showcasing to the world, sometimes I can get so focused that I lose track of time. Traveling with my family helps me decompress, gain inspiration, and see life through a new lens.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Priscila Zoullas, and I am the founder and CEO of OIYA. Founded in 2020, OIYA is a female-owned handmade accessories company with a global outlook. We create bracelets, necklaces, earrings, anklets, and rings for women, men, and children. Our pieces feature solid 14K gold, acrylic beads, nylon threads, precious gemstones, and other high-quality materials. Our accessories are designed to evoke positive energy and great style, and are the perfect gift for friends, family, and loved ones. With my wonderful team and my assistant, Imani Rivera, I can bring my visions to life.

Every time you buy a product, you are feeding a child for a day. When you wear our jewelry, you are committing to social responsibility and global action. OIYA donates to Share The Meal with every purchase made. Share The Meal is an initiative of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

Along with being a businesswoman, I am a proud mother, model, and philanthropist who seeks to spread good energy in the world.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I became a mother, it gave me strength as a woman and a new perspective on life. I became more intuitive, attentive, and wiser. I applied those characteristics when creating OIYA, as it was another defining moment in my life.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Through failure, you get stronger and wiser. It makes you value the little things in life. If you have a true passion, the journey to success might be slow, but you will eventually reach your goal.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Giving back is a lifetime commitment. It’s a chance to really make a difference in somebody’s life. I channeled that mindset when creating OIYA and sourcing a charitable organization with a similar mission. Partnering with Share The Meal to help feed a child for a day is what makes the commitment valuable.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I am at peace during my morning walks and when I practice Tai Chi. I can connect with nature, clear my mind, and engage with my senses. This helps me realign my mind, body, and soul. With this new energy, I can bring positive energy to my family, friends, and OIYA.
