Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A Typical Day in My Life
– **Morning Routine**: I begin my day by engaging in some form of worship, whether it’s reading scripture or listening to worship music while I prepare for the day.
– **Motherhood Duties**: As a mother, my next priority is getting the children ready, followed by dropping them off before heading to my full-time job.
– **Balancing Work**: During my breaks, I focus on my notary business, which involves a variety of tasks such as clerical work, remote signings, or field inspections.
– **Careful Scheduling**: I make an effort to plan my business activities around my other commitments, as I want to ensure that I don’t rush into anything with this new venture.
– **Evening Responsibilities**: After my full-time job, I either take appointments or spend quality time being a mom.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Quaeneashia Butts, though most people call me Neashia. Over the past two years, I have decided to venture into entrepreneurship. I have been a notary for over ten years, a role I took on due to a position that required me to hold a commission. I utilized my commission occasionally when those who knew I had it reached out for my services. I’ve always aspired to start my own business, but I wasn’t sure what kind. I also didn’t realize the extensive opportunities that a notary commission could provide, which made my decision much easier!
I researched everything I could do as a notary in Florida, and I discovered that I can perform general notary work, field inspections, loan signings, and even officiate weddings, with many of these services available remotely! Thus, my journey began to figure out what I needed to succeed as a business owner. While still working my full-time job, I dedicated any extra time to honing my craft and developing my business branding and marketing. I didn’t want to rush into this, so I broke down the tasks to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Gradually, I began to establish my presence online, utilizing platforms like Google and social media, and soon the calls started coming in.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Of course, I have to say that my mother was the first to recognize my potential. She has consistently supported me in all my endeavors, as well as those of my siblings. Beyond her, there were two store managers from my first job at a fast-food chain who played a significant role in shaping my work ethic. These managers believed in my ability to achieve much more at a young age. By the time I turned 18, they had already prepared me for a management position. This preparation proved beneficial, as it allowed me to demonstrate my capability to hold a management role at a young age.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were certainly moments when I felt like giving up on this journey. The fear of taking the leap and actually getting started often weighed on me. Additionally, there were delays in signing up for various services and platforms due to lengthy onboarding processes. Balancing my full-time job alongside my responsibilities as a mother and wife left me feeling exhausted. Some days, I simply didn’t have the motivation to put in the effort. However, the support from my family made a significant difference. They would inquire about my business and check in on my progress. My daughter would come up to me and ask, “Mommy, are you working on your other job today?” Their encouragement created a space for me to dedicate time to my business.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My close friends would tell you that I am a loyal individual who is always ready to lend a helping hand whenever possible. They trust that they can rely on me. They understand that my faith in Christ and my family hold the utmost significance in my life. I strive to ensure that I make them proud.

The narrative I wish for others to share is that I am/were a compassionate and nurturing individual. I want to be remembered as someone they could rely on for support or simply a sympathetic listener. Together with my husband, I aimed to raise our children while instilling in them our core values. I hope they carry cherished memories of me that they can treasure for a lifetime.
