We recently had the chance to connect with Minín Arévalo-Parodi and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Minín, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
It’s tough to choose just one, because in my life, intelligence, energy, and integrity hold the same level of importance. One of my greatest treasures is the gift of intelligence. I consider myself a woman with a wide-ranging mind, possessing a deep willingness to learn, question, and grow. I’ve always admired intelligence more than beauty, because with intelligence, you can achieve anything.
Energy, on the other hand, is what drives me. I’m ultra-energetic; I sometimes joke that I run on batteries because I rarely get tired. I’m always creating, building, and moving. Vital energy is part of who I am, and universal energy is at the core of what I believe in.
And integrity… ah, integrity is a non-negotiable value. To me, it means coherence between what you say and what you do, being integral in every project and every relationship, but above all with yourself. I like to think I am — with myself and with those around me — because in the end, that’s the true foundation of everything.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Minín Arévalo-Parodi, a journalist by profession, mentor, and editorial artisan. Eight years ago, I started the Cincuentásticas movement, dedicated to empowering women 50+ and proving that this stage of life can be the most fulfilling and creative. Three years ago, as part of that vision, I founded Cincuentásticas Publisher, a boutique publishing house created to offer a more complete service and support women in building their legacy.
My brand is special because we don’t just publish books—we build legacies. Every author who works with me receives much more than a service; they receive guidance, strategy, and an ecosystem that transforms their ideas into real and profitable projects.
What makes Cincuentásticas unique is that it was designed by and for women in their prime. Women who believe it’s possible to start over, reinvent themselves, and shine at any age. In just three years, I’ve published more than a hundred titles. Several reached best-seller status in the past, but in 2025, every single one of them has. Beyond the numbers, what fulfills me most is seeing how each story transformed into a book opens new paths, inspires, and positions its author.
Today, I’m working on expanding the publishing house by creating integral packages that go from the book itself to courses, personal branding, and digital strategies. I’m also developing mentorship programs in artificial intelligence for women, because I’m convinced that technology and creativity together are the bridge to the future we want to build.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed you had to work endlessly and exhaust yourself just to achieve a little. Today I know the real key is working with intelligence, using the right tools, and keeping your mind open to manifestation.
I’ve always been in love with books—their smell, their texture, the magic of getting lost in their pages. I never imagined I would own a publishing house, and yet today I run a successful boutique press that turns dreams into legacies.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Trust yourself more than you can imagine. Believe in your potential, in your power, and in your intuition. You know, you can. Do it—and be amazed.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I only have one version of myself: I’m the same person in public and in private. At this stage of my life, I value spontaneity too much to pretend or wear masks. You’ll always see me the same—authentic and aligned with what I think, feel, and do.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is my essence and my unshakable ability to rise again. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve fallen—what truly matters are the times I’ve stood back up. And if I ever had to start from scratch, even after losing everything, I would have no doubt that I would do it once more.
