Story & Lesson Highlights with Megan Romine of Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Megan Romine. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Megan, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’ve worked hard behind the scenes to grow into the best version of myself, so I can show up with clarity, strength, and presence for my clients and the people in my life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As the Executive Director of Luxury Sales at Douglas Elliman, I specialize in high-end properties across South Florida, blending a results-driven business approach with a deeply personalized client experience. I didn’t come from a luxury background; I built my brand from the ground up through relentless work, innovative marketing, and a commitment to concierge-level service. I have been known for record breaking sales and for also selling luxury homes that were not able to be sold previously by repositioning them in the market with a fresh new marketing concept, with a dedication to providing results.

What makes my brand unique is that it’s as much about relationships as it is about real estate. I’m equally focused on negotiating multi-million-dollar deals as I am on creating lasting trust with my clients. Behind the scenes, I’ve built systems that allow us to operate at the highest level, while I continue expanding into new markets. Outside of real estate, I’m deeply committed to healthy living and personal growth; from fitness and wellness to continuously working on becoming the best version of myself so I can show up fully for my clients, my team, and my life

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I think it’s instilled within me. A large portion of my work ethic comes from my roots in the West Virginia, a far cry from South Florida luxury real estate. I’m the daughter of a one-time coal miner, and that coal miner was my mother. On my mother’s side, we come from generations of coal mining. Those roots taught me early that hard work and perseverance aren’t optional; they’re part of who I am. That foundation is what’s allowed me to build a thriving business within the luxury market.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I don’t view anything I’ve been through as suffering. I see every challenge as an opportunity to discover more about who I am, to test my resilience, and to grow in ways that success alone could never teach me.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
That discipline is more reliable than motivation. That how you do anything is how you do everything. And that alignment; in work, relationships, and how I live my life- will always be one of the most integral aspects of how I move throughout all areas of my life.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
Many who are close to me know one saying that’s close to my heart and that I live by: I would rather have the regret of doing (or saying something that is important) than live with the regret of never having done it at all.
