JD Bertola shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi JD, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Due to the boutique style and creative nature of my instagram campaigns I often get to capacity very quickly. I do all my personal marketing for my Instagram that I grew to 70k followers. I have a politics YouTube channel with over 10k organic subscribers. I can not only grow my own accounts, I have helped hundreds of people grow online. Check my Instagram highlights @jbertola1 for testimonials from real people that turned their passion into reality through leveraging social media with me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I own an operate, elite creative agency. We are a boutique style marketing company that offers creative social media solutions to allow our clients to look credible online and grow faster. Our campaigns allow our users to either join a community of real people to support them (the thousands of other people we work with) or they can simply opt to have us do all of their marketing “done for you style”. We fine-tune your pages branding appeal through consulting and proprietary marketing solutions. Overall, our company is a very cost-effective way of making someone able to monetize their social media and prime themselves for more opportunities and more connections. We are best known for our Instagram services. What we offer for Instagram does not exist elsewhere.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
The great thing is, I have always been aware that the world molds people whether it be relationships, work, or the general stress of life people can get worn down and give up. I’ve always had a very flexible lifestyle where I work very, very hard and have to figure out problems that would make most people very stressed, but I enjoy that kind of life where there’s a lot of pressure but there’s also a lot of freedom. I’m not saying I do what I want every day, but I don’t think I’ve folded to societal norms. I own a company which operates several websites and manage hundreds of amazing clients from all walks of life that I love working alongside and engaging with.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There’s times you have to do other things to make income, especially in the beginning stages of starting a business if you don’t have a lot of capital. My first business cost about 40,000 to start. It was a landscaping company and it was fine but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do which is why I moved on from it even though it was working out. I had always done marketing even while I was doing that, but it was just a matter of when I was getting started. I had to grind somewhere else and although it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do and I felt like I was giving up years ago I’m realizing today that that’s what helped me propel myself forward. Often times doing things we don’t like is like this, years later you feel good about it I know you made the right decision.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I think a lot of people i have different relationships with would give you a lot of different answers to this. I can be very kind and gentle, but also severe and unforgiving if needed.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I think everyone can say procrastination to answer this question because we are all waiting to do something in this life. Either a trip, approaching someone you’ve always wanted to talk to, making a certain amount of money, finding true love. I think universally procrastination kills a lot of of dreams.
