We recently had the chance to connect with Eddie Ceasar and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Eddie, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Meaningful moments with family and friends who have become family over time!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
E-Ceasar; born Eddie Lee Ceasar, Jr.; is a writer and recording artist who enjoys R&B music. Born and raised in the sunny city of Delray Beach, Florida, I have managed to record 3 solo albums, run a promotional song advertising company; Music is Life; and host a showcase talent performance for up and coming artists. As a singer, my style is silky smooth and touches a baritone register like never heard before. I am currently in preproduction on my 4th solo album entitled Smooth Groove World, and am looking forward towards expanding my brand into the film and TV world as well as a larger world wide audience.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child i would oftentimes feel that my voice and opinions were not valuable to include in discussions or artistic projects. I would constantly day dream of story ideas but never communicate them to anyone. That all started to change when I begin writing my thoughts and ideas down on paper. Eventually I learned that my ideas and my voice; no matter how different or unusual compared to everyone else, was what separated me and made me valuable in any environment that I am in.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that you are a strong example of what a leader is. Through impossible circumstances you held strong and fought through obstacles. questioning uncertainties, knowing when to seek advice, and knowing when to say no in order to protect your morals.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Loyalty. This includes keeping your word and honoring what you say you will do. I won’t even tell someone “I’ll call you right back” if that’s not my true intent. When it comes to loyalty, I strongly believe communities can thrive and individuals feel secured when long, meaningful relationships are established and honored by a mutual respect amongst one another.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely I can! At an young age I was taught by my mother and father to go above and beyond in everything I do. I truly honor that lesson. We as humans enjoy the praise and attention that comes from doing our works, however validation is not necessary to know that our works are priceless. I take pride in the fact that I give my best effort in all that I do.
