We’re looking forward to introducing you to Davit Ro. Check out our conversation below.
Davit, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
As a magician, I’m chasing moments of wonder—those rare flashes when someone sees the impossible and everything shifts for a second. That spark of disbelief, that “How?!”—that’s what keeps me going.
If I stopped, it wouldn’t just be the end of performing—it would be stepping away from what makes me feel alive. I don’t just do magic. I live it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a magician based in Miami, combining sleight of hand, illusion, and storytelling to create powerful, unforgettable experiences. I’ve performed across Europe, appeared on national TV, and brought magic to high-profile clients like Microsoft, Hilton, and Art Basel. My goal isn’t just to impress, but to truly connect with people and leave them with a sense of wonder they haven’t felt in years.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I truly believed in supernatural powers. I thought some people were born with special abilities—like real-life wizards. That belief is what first pulled me into the world of magic. I wanted to be one of them.
But as I grew older and started learning how magic actually works, I realized there’s no such thing as supernatural powers. Everything comes from us—our creativity, psychology, and the ability to connect with people on a deeper level. That discovery didn’t ruin the magic for me—it made it even more fascinating.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of not being taken seriously held me back for a long time. Magic is often seen as just entertainment, but for me, it’s an art form. I used to worry people wouldn’t see the depth behind it—but over time, I learned that staying true to your vision earns real respect.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Not entirely. On stage, I definitely act more confident—it’s like something switches on the moment I perform. Off stage, I’m more reserved. I honestly don’t know why it happens, but the stage brings out a version of me that feels bolder, sharper, almost fearless.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
I’m constantly refining my craft—studying psychology, storytelling, and audience behavior. It’s the kind of deep work that doesn’t show immediate results, but over 7–10 years, it shapes how powerful and lasting my performances become. I’m building something long-term, not just the next trick.
