We recently had the chance to connect with Daniela Moreno and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Daniela, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Lately I’ve been inclined to teach. I’ve been creating content for years for brands and have developed a few skills on how to create really sharp, quality content that I would love to share with other creators. Stay tuned for that at MOE!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dani, the founder of lifestyle content and event studio in Miami, MOE studio. We have 4 home inspired sets with natural light, we have a membership program fit for anyone who creates content on a monthly basis. We are also an event venue where we host beautiful commnunity-driven events or anyone can rent the studio as a venue to host what they wish! It’s a beautiful community and I’m super proud of it.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me with limiting beliefs, that I’m not enough or that there is always someone doing better. I think you have to learn at some point to stop looking to the side and focus on your inner self and be your own competition. I always strive to be better than the person I was yesterday, even though it’s always an ebb and flow.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
When I pitched my studio’s concept to a room full of middle aged men (the landlords) I was scared that no one would take me seriously. I think when I came in with a really clear pitch, all their ears were wide open and they approved for me to move forward with my business idea.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I think it’s a small percentage of me, a more curated “put together” version of myself. I’m a lot more raw in real life and my close friends know that about me. I like to keep it classy when it comes to my public image as I value aesthetics, how things look and feel. My internet persona is tied to my frustrated dream of working for a magazine so I like to treat my socials as my personal magazine. It has led me to work with some amazing brands so I don’t really feel the need to expose myself anymore than I do. I like to keep my personal life and self, private.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was a kind person, that I did things with love but also that I always kept my boundaries high when I felt someone took advantage of my kindness. I’m very sweet, but if you cross the line, I can be very honest and strong.
