We’re looking forward to introducing you to Crystal Kiffin. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Crystal , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe many people silently struggle with mental health challenges, but often don’t speak up due to the lingering stigma society places around it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Crystal Kiffin, founder of Run Di Catwalk Fashion Show and Kiffin Models JA. I’m deeply passionate about helping others, especially up-and-coming models and designers, by creating platforms that highlight and celebrate their talents.
My journey in fashion and modeling began through pageantry I was honored to be crowned Mrs. Universe Jamaica 2024. That experience opened the door for me to explore runway modeling, which led to walking in multiple fashion shows and eventually launching my own.
With Run Di Catwalk, I aim to give designers and models a space to shine, grow, and gain the recognition they deserve. Through Kiffin Models JA, I’m continuing that mission building a brand that helps models unlock their potential, gain exposure, and pursue their dreams confidently. I’m excited about what’s ahead and committed to creating more opportunities for aspiring talents across the fashion industry.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that always felt I needed to prove my worth through perfection has served its purpose and now needs to be released. It helped me push hard, especially early in my career but now, I understand that growth comes through vulnerability, imperfection, and allowing others to grow alongside me. I don’t need to be perfect to be powerful I just need to be real.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience, empathy, and the depth of my own strength lessons success could never fully reveal.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to building platforms that empower and elevate upcoming models especially those who feel overlooked. Through Kiffin Models JA and Run Di Catwalk, I want to create lasting opportunities and change the way talent is discovered and nurtured in Jamaica and beyond. No matter how long it takes, I’ll keep pushing for representation, growth, and visibility for every model who dares to dream
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I defeated every odd stacked against me that I accomplished everything I set my mind to. That I broke generational curses, rose above the challenges, and built something meaningful from the ground up. I did it with little help, but with a courageous heart and unwavering faith. I want to be remembered as someone who didn’t just dream big but made those dreams a reality and opened doors for others along the way.
