We’re looking forward to introducing you to Chelsea Luv. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Chelsea , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity, hands down. I think energy and intelligence both flow stronger when they’re rooted in integrity. It’s the anchor that keeps everything aligned. From how you treat people, to how you move through your career, to how you create art. For me, integrity is about staying true to what I believe in even when nobody’s watching, and not compromising my values for the sake of attention or opportunity.
In this industry, especially as a creative, it’s easy to get caught up in trends or outside validation. But integrity keeps me grounded in my purpose. It’s what makes my music honest and my journey sustainable.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey 🙂 My name is ChelseaLuv. I’m a South Florida-born and raised contemporary R&B singer, songwriter, and performer with a deep love for storytelling through music. My sound blends the soul of 90s R&B with the vulnerability and cinematic feel of modern pop, and a hint of dreamscape.
I perform both as a solo artist and with several professional bands across South Florida, which keeps me sharp, versatile, and connected to every kind of audience. What makes my brand unique is how I fuse raw emotion with polish. I can deliver a stripped-down, soulful performance that feels intimate one moment, then turn around and bring that same intensity to a big, high-energy stage. My sound lives somewhere between vulnerability and power. It’s cinematic, heartfelt, and always rooted in truth.
Right now, I’m in the midst of bringing a project to life that’s been a long time coming. something deeply personal that ties together all the sounds and stories I’ve been shaping over the years. In the meantime, I’ve been releasing singles to set the tone and build the world around it, including Don’t Play With It and At First Sight, both released this year. Each release has been a glimpse into the evolution of my sound, and I’m so excited to keep creating, and seeing where this next chapter takes me.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Honestly, my first time feeling truly powerful was at twelve years old, having to face my nsane stage tright/tear of public speaking and getting on a stage for the first time to actually sing in front of other people, (my literal worst nightmare at the time). My stage fright was so intense at one point that I didn’t even want to let my family or friends hear me sing. So basically no one knew that I had any talent for a long time, even though I had been singing since I was very young.
I thought somehow that if I were to get on a stage in front of people, and anyone was to hear me and see me while doing the thing that for years was something I only did behind closed doors, with the door locked, and the music blasting so that even I coulo barely hear myself, I would be somehow exposed in a way that would just make me fall apart on the spot. But I didn’t fall apart. I got on that stage and I sang – shaking, yes, but | went through with it. And instead of the disaster l imagined, people clapped. They smiled. They actually felt something.
That moment changed everything. It wasn’t just about singing — it was about realizing that fear only has power when you let it. I had never felt more proud of my own courage than I did before stepping on that stage. And so kept doing it.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There have been moments where the weight of everything — the pressure, the uncertainty, the exhaustion — made me question if I was meant to keep going. The hardest times weren’t about talent or opportunity, they were about faith. Believing in myself when no one was clapping, when things were quiet, when I was pouring everything into music and barely seeing the results.
But every time I got close to giving up, something would remind me why I started — a message from someone who connected to my song, a performance that reignited my fire, or even just that inner voice whispering, “You didn’t come this far for nothing.” I think the truth is, I never really wanted to quit — I just wanted the pain of not being “there yet” to stop. And once I realized that every struggle was part of the story, I decided to keep writing it — literally and metaphorically.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real — it’s just amplified. It’s the part of me that walks into every room knowing who she is, but it’s also built from the same softness, doubt, and truth that live offstage. I’m not putting on a mask; I’m turning the volume up on my essence.
When I step into “ChelseaLuv,” I’m not becoming someone else, I’m stepping into the fullest expression of myself. The stage version of me is who I am when I stop shrinking, when I stop editing myself for comfort. So yes, it’s me, just the version that refuses to dim her light.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
Caring, and not being afraid to show that I care. So many people in my generation have become afraid of sincerity. We’ve made it cool to act unbothered, to hide behind irony or detachment, as if feeling deeply is a weakness. But I think one of the most beautiful human expressions is passion — to care about something or someone so much that it moves you.
I never want to lose that. I want to look back with no regrets. I’m committed to building something timeless — music and visuals that tell real stories and outlive trends. I’m not chasing moments; I’m creating worlds, and I’ll keep doing that no matter how long it takes.
