We recently had the chance to connect with Charline Charite and have shared our conversation below.
Charline, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day looks likes waking up at 5:30am, praying of course, you cannot start the day without that. After praying, I get dressed to hit the gym around 6:00am for about one hour. I never thought I would be an early gym girlie, but it really sets the tone of my day. To wake up and complete something I once thought was impossible to do, gives me that boost of confidence to conquer the rest of my day. After the gym, I head home, eat breakfast, get dressed for work at 9am!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Charline Charité and I am the owner of Charité Beauty and UpLevel Salon Suites located right in Port Saint Lucie, Fl. I have been a licensed esthetician specializing in brow shaping, makeup and lash extensions for 10 years as of Nov 2025. What makes my brand special to me is of course getting to service women and making them feel like their most beautiful selves. Another thing that has come to my attention within the last two years is how my business is my ministry. To have customers constantly telling me that they feel peace when they walk into my shop, or that they feel better leaving their appointments because of the conversations we shared. I can see God all up and through this business and it is my pleasure and great honor to hold such a space and provide a service that I never take lightly. Our Salon Suites have also been in the city for 3 years now, providing homes to local beauty professionals!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I always took life seriously believe it or not. With that being said, the thoughts that barraged my mind were those that weighed heavily on me. Thoughts then became beliefs like, “Maybe I am not important in this world because I don’t have a special skill or passion like everyone else”. The devil is a liar! Don’t let me get churchy on you haha. But as a child I sometimes believed negative things about myself but as an adult, I know I have so much to give this world. We all were created with a purpose and we each have a calling on our life. I am glad I never succumbed to those thoughts because look at me now, impacting people in ways I never thought possible, by simply being myself!
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Fear of failure has held me back the most in my life. Why is that such a crippling feeling?? I hate it so much haha. Like why do we care so much of failing, looking awkward, or even just trying in front of others? Who really cares?? The people are going to talk regardless. We all have to try something at some point. No one just wakes up being perfect at something. And guess what, that first or five times you try, you just might fail! You know what they say, GET BACK UP AND TRY AGAIN! The biggest thing that successful people have in common is that they never stopped trying. I still wrestle with this sometimes but this year I have made it a point to just put myself in different/awkward scenarios where I can try my best to shake that fear of failure. It’s helping!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Hmm, great question. I would think my closest friends would say that living a life that’s pleasing to God really matters to me. My faith is what guides me through life. A few other things my friends would say really matters to me is family. Having a close knit family has always mattered to me and I hope to create my very own version of that as well. They would also say maintaining relationships with people really matter to me because I’ll always make an effort to check in with someone, whether it’s been a few weeks, or months since hearing from them.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, my clients would be so upset! They’re always telling me that I better not ever move away lol. But I would think they’d miss my services of course! I have loyal clients that tell me “I just get them”. They don’t have to do too much explaining of what they want (even though I try to get them to for my own insanity lol), I’m not perfect so I don’t always get it right 100% of the time, but I listen to my clients and try my best to give them what they came looking to receive. According to them I have blessed hands, so I proudly receive that! They would also miss my personality, the talks we have, me being a listening ear, and maybe giving them what they may not want to hear, but they know it’s coming from a good place. Overall, also great customer service!
