We recently had the chance to connect with Carla Morales and have shared our conversation below.
Carla, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I believe integrity is the most important quality. Intelligence and energy can create great results, but without integrity, they may not be sustainable or meaningful. Integrity builds trust, and trust is the foundation for both personal and professional relationships. In my work as a photographer, for example, people trust me not only to capture moments but also to guide them honestly and respectfully. That trust comes from integrity, and it’s something I value above everything else.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Carla Morales, and I am a photographer based in Miami. Through my brand, Clickyourmoments, I specialize in capturing candid and authentic moments for families, entrepreneurs, and brands. What makes my work unique is my spontaneous style—I focus on genuine emotions and real connections rather than posed or overly staged images.
Beyond photography sessions, I’m also passionate about creating content that helps entrepreneurs and small businesses tell their stories visually, whether through branding sessions or user-generated content. Right now, I’m working on expanding Clickyourmoments into digital strategies and creative projects that connect photography with lifestyle and storytelling. For me, every photo is not just an image, but a memory or a brand’s voice frozen in time.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that I am learning to release is the tendency to doubt myself or hold back until I feel “perfectly ready.” That mindset once served me by keeping me cautious, but now it limits my growth. I’ve realized that creativity, business, and even personal growth flourish when I allow myself to take action, make mistakes, and learn along the way. Releasing that old habit gives me the freedom to embrace opportunities with more confidence and authenticity.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain when I realized that vulnerability could also be a source of strength. Instead of pretending everything was perfect, I began to channel my experiences into my photography and storytelling. Every challenge I’ve faced has given me more empathy and depth, and I use that to connect with people in a real way. What once felt heavy turned into a power—because it allows me to see and capture the beauty in others, even in their imperfect or vulnerable moments.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is family, authenticity, and meaningful connections. They know how much I value creating memories with my loved ones, and that the same care translates into my work as a photographer. They’d probably also say that I’m always looking to grow, learn, and create—because for me, life is about evolving while staying true to who you are.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I would immediately stop doubting myself and holding back on my dreams. I would let go of the need to overthink or wait for the “perfect time.” Instead, I’d focus fully on creating, sharing, and enjoying life with my family and community. Time is too precious to waste on fear or hesitation—I’d rather use it to live with authenticity, love, and purpose.
