Story & Lesson Highlights with ALLISON ESPINOZA of Miami

We recently had the chance to connect with ALLISON ESPINOZA and have shared our conversation below.

ALLISON, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
All the time. I used to be the kind of person who would get frustrated or regret things that didn’t happen fast enough, always haunted by the “what ifs.” But over time, thanks to my dad and later my husband, I learned to slow down. They always reminded me that “great things happen to those who wait” and that everything happens for a reason. Now, I believe that every action unfolds at the right time, and I always try to think before I act, because I know that every choice has consequences.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Allison Espinoza, and together with my husband, I founded OMG Studio Activations, a photo booth company based in Miami that focuses on corporate events and brand activations. Just a few months ago, we also launched Photura Photo Booths, which is dedicated to weddings and social events.

I truly believe every photo booth business is different and what sets us apart is that we love what we do. Our team has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry. We genuinely enjoy creating content, connecting with guests, and being part of their special moments.

Technology and equipment might fail sometimes but we won’t. And when you reach out to OMG Studio or Photura, you’ll be speaking with me directly. While I have a team that helps behind the scenes, I love staying personally involved with our clients to understand their goals. I believe that’s key to creating one-of-a-kind events.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was a kid, if someone asked me what I wanted to be, I’d give multiple answers because I wanted to be so many things. As I got older, I started to believe I had to choose just one career that best defined me.

But today, I no longer believe that. I now understand that I don’t have to be just one thing. I’m a business owner, but I’m also an actress and dancer and I enjoy all three equally. I believe we’re allowed to pursue everything that inspires us.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Before starting OMG Studio, I went through a long phase of trying and failing to start different businesses. Being a business owner was always part of the plan, but nothing stuck. I sold resistance bands, books, table games… I was constantly experimenting, hoping something would click.

After so many setbacks, I hit a point where I almost gave up. I told myself I’d give it one last shot and that final attempt turned out to be OMG Studio. It wasn’t instant success, but it felt different. For the first time, I wasn’t forcing it. I had found something that aligned with who I am, and it became the foundation for everything I do now.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Acting and dancing have always been part of me, and I know I’ll never let them go, no matter where life takes me.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember that I came from humble beginnings, faced real challenges, and still built something meaningful. I want my story to be a reminder that your circumstances don’t define your future. I hope young people, especially, see that it’s possible to stay focused, stay kind, and create a life you’re proud of no matter where you start.
